Purchase decision for electric cars

I would like to increase my position in EV companies from China. I currently already have $175 (-3.03%) in the portfolio, but would like to diversify further. After looking around and reading up a bit, I have widened the circle to $1211 (-2.03%) and $1810 (+4.43%) narrow it down. I see BYD as a safer investment, while Xiaomi, despite its broad product range, looks more like a risky stock. What are your views on this? Which share would you prefer?
