Buying the dip

Well I was going to stay calm for some days now, but I’m adding $SFM (+0%) to my portfolio, after a massive sellof of 26% today, which made the stock be about 55% down from its hights.

At this point, I find this food ratailer attractive for its growth profile and its healthy food segment focus. Although the selloff is exactly for slowing growth and the fact that there’re headwinds, the company plans many store openings for next year, it has correct margins, and valuation now is acceptable at a 20 P/E while growing 16% on revenue and 34% on estnings YoY and expected to grow revenue 14% next year.

It is also a diversification from my heavy finance-tech porftolio.

@savvy_investor_3426 I’m down 18% since I bought. Consumer staples are clearly suffering on this inflationary market, momentum is terrible right now. If you’re in for the long run then yes, but if I were you I’d wait until the sentiment gets better and there is a change on this tendency. In general i prefer to buy when it is going up, or when there is a sudden crash that I think is exagereted (like when I bought here), in this case I missed and should have waited on the sidelines.
