Do you think it makes sense to buy these shares now?

The share that interests me the most at the moment is $ONDS (-3,67%) . I'm just unsure because they are still in the red. And the second would be $IREN (+1,37%) but the share price has now fallen quite sharply.

What do you think of the two, do you think it makes sense to buy them now in December 2025?

Why are you interested in these titles? Are you speculating! Are you looking for quick riches or do you want to invest for the long term? For the former, you have to go in at high risk and hope that history will repeat itself. To do this, you would have to be very capable of suffering and be prepared to accept large losses. For the latter, look for something else

@Dividendenopi In fact, it would be more speculation than a long-term investment, because I have another portfolio as a basis where I have simply invested in world ETFs. Now I was looking for a few shares with which I could improve the return potential and also for a potential quick profit. That's how I came across these two.
Do you think it's likely that there's still room for improvement?
Or do you know of any better alternatives?
I'm open to anything.
I'm also looking for shares to invest in for the long term.

@capital_captain_2693 ok, actually entertain the gambling child in you. 🙃😉 There's nothing against it if you put some money into it and you can live with the fact that it's gone. Which shares are suitable for this? Many😉. Some are forum favorites like $IREN or Rocket Lab, droneshield to name just a few. You can find great suggestions and explanations at @Multibagger. Put his motives next to yours and simply make a copy trade and evaluate the development. Learn to endure strong volatility, to realize losses, to miss profits because you got out too late or too early. Then you'll get a feel for whether it's for you. And for a high-risk gamble with the risk of massive losses but also taking a bounce upside $SPOR, I have just entered for a second gamble

@capital_captain_2693 You can take these two, I can also name 5-6 others that I have in my portfolio and that fall into the same category. Chances of at least a doubler or a pipe burst and a 70% loss. They all involve very high volatility. You have to be able to withstand that. It doesn't bother me. This is my hobby and my project requires this risk.

When a price falls, there are opportunities to buy. I don't mean a dip, but the end of a correction, which in all likelihood seems to have almost been reached at $IREN. It may still drop to €27 on Friday if the Americans or borrowers from Japanese banks go berserk again 😅

Both high risk. Hence the chance of high profits or losses 🤷🏼‍♂️

@TradingHase
Do you know of any better alternatives?
I'm relatively open-minded and looking for a few stocks with good return potential and some for long-term investing.

@capital_captain_2693 There is no return without risk. You should first be clear about which strategy you want to pursue. Long-term in ETFs or shares. If shares, in which sector, etc
@TradingHase My strategy is as follows: I have a portfolio that consists only of the major ETFs plus a little gold for long-term investing. And then I have a second portfolio where I invest in individual shares in order to give up a bit of security but hopefully get a higher return. In other words, the ETFs as a basis and then the rest for extra returns.
But now I'm looking for stocks that are suitable for this.

@capital_captain_2693 Then just take a look at the shares that are repeatedly presented here. If you are convinced by the company and the figures, invest.
Nobody can take the decision of what to invest in away from you.
