Let's get started...

...as already announced, there will be another biotech gamble from my direction in January.

@Tenbagger2024
@Dividendenopi
@Multibagger
@Klein-Anleger

Today, completely by chance, I read news about $AQST read. An application for approval is currently being submitted to the FDA, with a decision date of 31.01.2026.

The FDA has pointed out "deficiencies in the application". Share price reaction today: -38%!

No clear indication of the problem, so it is difficult to assess the ultimate impact. However, the application has not been rejected (which I consider positive for the time being) and the review is continuing. According to the FDA, a decision will not be made before the deadline that has already been set.

The company is, of course, desperately waiting for a clearer statement from the FDA, but has already signaled that it wants to clear up any ambiguities or questions during the review, i.e. by the decision date.

In principle (although the details are different), this scenario reminded me very much of the scenario at $FBIO some time ago. I looked at the key facts about the company and the preparation that is the subject of the application is, in my view, really something special.

Specifically, it is Anaphylm, a sublingual film (to be placed under the tongue) for the treatment of severe allergic reactions. The special thing about it: while epinephrine currently has to be injected by syringe for allergic shocks $AQST has packed a life-saving dose of epinephrine into a self-dissolving gel platelet, which releases the necessary epinephrine via the mouth without the need for fluids.

In my opinion, this offers considerable advantages for emergencies. Easy storage (unrefrigerated, even in hospitals etc.), easy handling for really anyone (even untrained helpers etc., I wouldn't know where or how to hammer it into someone with allergic shock and an emergency pen in their pocket muss🤷🏼‍♂️), lighter, smaller, easier to handle etc....

Long story short: For me, it is not a completely absurd scenario that it is rather errors in the application with regard to the design of the application than doubts about the efficacy that play a role here (why else would one continue to review and not reject directly, does the FDA do this often enough?)

In my view, two scenarios can occur here:

  • If approved, potential peak sales of up to 700 million US dollars (2035e) beckon.

  • If it is rejected, the share price could fall further, but in my opinion the price currently already includes a worst-case scenario.

I therefore have the feeling that the market reaction is currently exaggerated here too and have entered the stock today with the same "play money" size at $AQST as I did with $FBIO at the time.

I didn't hit the daily low perfectly, but of course a little more research and consideration was still necessary.

The same applies here: absolute high-risk, high-reward gambling, only imitate if you have looked into it yourself, weighed up the opportunities and risks for yourself and, in the worst case, can write off the invested capital without financial ruin.

For number crunchers, here again are the key financials and, as recently, the chart for a quick overview:

  • Around USD 120 million in cash at the end of 2025 - enough to cover all approval and launch costs.

Valuation:

attachment
  • Market capitalization: 757.64 million US dollars
  • Revenue growth in 2024: 13.8%
  • Expected decline in sales in 2025: -21.8% (due to delays at Anaphylm to date)

Gosh, did you get an annual bonus? 😅 What's a gambling position for you? And where do you get all those biotech companies from?

@Klein-Anleger "Play money" = tolerable total loss. 1/3 of my usual entry size of around €750, which I currently regularly use for my longer-term investments.🤷🏼‍♂️

The biotech companies: honestly, all chance finds. You just have to think about how bad it really is, or could be, then you can usually classify it quite well from my point of view. Overall, I see more risk here than with $FBIO, but I can still see the opportunities.

Edit: and unfortunately you only get a bonus twice a year 😢

@All-in-or-nothing This is mega exciting. I discovered the company via my last small cap ki search (2 days ago)! Landed on the watchlist. Couldn't find anything else today either. I'm also in with a small tranche👍

@Darkwingduck oh cool, it's cool that you got it from an AI search. I'm really excited to see what happens. It will probably be top or flop.😅👍🏻

@All-in-or-nothing I think it will be back towards $4.50 to $4.80 next week, they are still sitting on a lot of cash and I see the scenario of a completely new study as very unlikely after the FDA's reaction.

Well then, since I still have enough free monetary capacity in my gambling portfolio, I just got hold of 750 shares for USD 3.91. That's a blind copy trade for an exciting story. It's like the lottery, 50:50, you win or you don't win. SL as always set at -30% this time, TP at 50% half the stake, the rest would then continue to run and SL would be tightened to 25% plus when the first break-even point is reached. That's it! Now I've had enough of your gambles on BioTech after I also opened a position at $OMDA yesterday....Over the weekend I'll take a close look at the ideas of @Tenbagger2024, as I have to invest seriously and will buy two more shares in the sector. And of course some more money will flow in @Epi

@Dividendenopi That's exactly how I see such gambles. However, the chances of winning are better than the lottery.😂 Apart from that, I'm celebrating your consistent portfolio management once again, I think it's just great!👍🏻 Come on, I can't help $OMDA, I've been talked into it myself here.🤷🏼‍♂️🫣 The ideas of our dear @Tenbagger2024 are definitely of a much higher quality and the companies generally have real foundations. Less gambling and often no less growth. He often succeeds very well in landing hits.👍🏻

@All-in-or-nothing Doing one thing and not the other😇It's like cooking, the right ingredients and spices bring something delicious to the table and you always try something new. If it doesn't taste good and the cats or dogs don't eat it either, then it ends up in the ducks' bowls and, unfortunately, at the end of the chain on the compost heap. Then I wish us all a good appetite

@Dividendenopi great comparison, you can't describe it much better.😁👌🏻

@Tenbagger2024 I don't drink bubbly water like that, I don't like the taste and the carbon dioxide always gets up my nose. I'd rather buy a nice gin or a good whiskey instead. Cheers

@Dividendenopi I'm with you on gin.🥃

@All-in-or-nothing you get a rocket, the 🍻or 🥂is somehow missing here...

@Dividendenopi Definitely missing.😁 Thanks, I'll take it.👍🏻

@Tenbagger2024 If I tell you that I just smoked the last one while shoveling snow and that I had to / was allowed to smoke a few times today because it snowed through😇😉then you can roughly calculate in which direction in D I am. In any case, @All-in-or-nothing would probably be at his drink faster than you

However, an emergency pen commonly used by allergy sufferers is very easy to use. Take it, open it, smack it in. If it's not directly in the eye, you can hardly go wrong.
The gel pad is basically great, but have you ever tried to put something in the mouth of a cramping allergy sufferer when they are sick?
So it sounds really good at first, but I would prefer to use the pen. For this reason, the Invest is not for me.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that this thing goes through the roof. 🚀

Well then $AQST ignites with currently 44% plus 😎🚀🚀🚀🚀

@Dividendenopi 😁 But came quite a way back from my entry level to here.😂 Standing at +6% currently, with a small Gamble position. So not the world unfortunately but at least green.

The weirdest thing again: application for approval rejected.😅 And yet the thing is going so well because the CRL was not about efficacy or anything else, but only about human factors (opening the packaging > probably too difficult, reading the instructions > probably too unclear🤣). However, since a new application is now not expected until Q3 2026 (a study has to be conducted to prove that people can open the packaging and use the product), I will probably get out today with a small plus. I didn't want to sit on it that long.

It's probably enough for an extra kebab with everything after costs.
•

•

Then enjoy the kebab 🙃🥙. My entry is at USD 3.92, the 8% is now just a hunny, that's not enough for me 😇, especially not at the dollar exchange rate. I'll let it run and keep the SL as usual

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin I also have to let him go, @Tenbagger2024 insists on partying and champagne 😬🥂. And he probably only wants a 1st class ticket on the ICE 🤔🙃😂

@Dividendenopi with your -30% SL you have not been stopped out in the meantime?

I'll probably keep an eye on it for a while, since it came back a bit too far for me today anyway, it will get another probation.

I'll have to see if and what else is in the pipeline. It was actually a pure intuition trade.🤷🏼‍♂️
••
imagem de perfil
@Dividendenopi Are you throwing the party from winning the Tenbagger portfolio?
•

•

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin No, it stands at USD 2.75. I had to renew it again today
•

•

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin doesn't look like it at the moment, so far it's more likely to be tap water and an old packet of salt sticks sponsored by me. And in this weather I don't want to let @Tenbagger2024 cycle the long distance 😇😂😂. We'll have a party on New Year's Eve 🥳. For the party now, $AQST has to deliver 🚀
•

•
imagem de perfil
@Dividendenopi oh man, well, what is not, can still become.😉 And it certainly will.💪🏻

A bike is certainly not the best idea at the moment, I'm with you on that.🫣

New Year's Eve party sounds great, so you'll have plenty of lead time.😂😁

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin nix oh man, or did anyone seriously expect the portfolio to take off across all stocks? With $GFT I have deliberately built in a fun brake 😇, which is developing slowly, $ELF is courageous, but I really wanted to have it to cover the sector and I see potential in the long term. $BONEX is very speculative and is good for surprises in both directions. Everything is safe so far and it's not about having multibaggers, but for me it's about experiencing what it's like to invest in growth rather than dividends. The accounts will be settled at the end, and by then certainly not all stocks will be available as they are now. It's in the nature of things

My biotech share is already covered, so I'm watching from the sidelines.
I'm on a similar rollercoaster ride with $BHVN 🤪

@TomTurboInvest the usual with smaller biotechs.😅🤷🏼‍♂️ My biotech holding is absolutely manageable, in fact it is (hopefully) two long-term positions and two times pure gambling. We'll see where the journey takes us. I'll gladly accept all the crossed fingers and cheers you can spare 😂

@Tenbagger2024 top or flop in the order of magnitude. In your case, they are more "mature" and more solid biotech players.😉

@Tenbagger2024 You have another, I think, very good approach.👍🏻

That's right, I forgot about @TradingHase 🫣 Too many great people here. You often fall back on the frequent posters.

@All-in-or-nothing I can understand that. Unfortunately, I'm not really successful with that sort of thing.
Leveraged products on large underlyings are easier for me. It's also fun. 😁

@Epi I understand that. My clear goal for 2026: Reduce individual stocks again, make the portfolio structure cleaner again, add 3xGTAA Wikifolio certificate.😁

@Tigawutz Positive, small, non-representative studies seem to have a very strong impact on the share price. Analysts are very positive, pipeline candidates do not look uninteresting and quite effective according to the results. However, I would definitely wait for a setback, as a lot of positive things have already been priced in for the fact that nothing has yet been approved here.

@All-in-or-nothing at least in the 🇺🇸 it is not yet approved. uae seems to have made a start and the ema is to follow.
