402 % for the forgotten share, 🛌 "Sleep is the best strategy against panic selling." (Sometimes doing nothing is the smartest decision.)

$ENR (+3,25%)

Hello my dears,

on the occasion of a comment SIEMENS would be a sleepyhead (snoring nose).

it occurred to me to finally book my 18 free shares in Siemens Energy on getquin.

  • On September 28, 2020 Siemens Energy was listed in regular trading for the first time.
  • The first stock market price was around 22.01 euros per share.
  • For Siemens shareholders, this meant that their Siemens Energy shares were valued at this price, regardless of the fact that they did not have to make any additional payment.

👉 In short: Siemens shareholders received the Siemens Energy shares free of charge through the spin-offand the market initially valued them at approx. 22 euros.

And so the forgotten Siemens Energy shares are in my portfolio today with a performance of + 402 %.

There was some profit-taking on Siemens shares in the meantime.

So I think the investment in the Siemens dividend share has paid off a little.

I hope the upcoming spin-off of Siemens Healthineers will be just as successful.

I sold them at 80. But to be fair, it was not at all foreseeable that they would be where they are today. They were already deep in the shit

Oh yes, but because of my small positions I simply ignored the share completely.
Maybe I had already given up a little.
They were a gift anyway 🙈

@Tenbagger2024 Well, they are not free. Spin-offs are just derecognition and in this case the company was given up but was still worth a few euros per share. At least it's cool that we still have something like this in Germany. Siemens is keeping Germany alive. Infineon, Siemens, Energy, Healthineers and possibly Mobility at some point

Has also been slumbering in my wife's dividend portfolio since the spin-off 😎 and will remain there, just like $SIE. and if the dividend of €0.70 per share proposed by the Management Board and Supervisory Board is approved at the Annual General Meeting on June 26, 2026, the dividend portfolio will be all the happier 🤗

Siemens Energy at €110… honestly, at this level I can only think about selling.
The P/E is sitting at 96 — completely out of line for an industrial company. Earnings per share are still weak, and despite the recent recovery, the EBITDA margin remains low for the sector.
The stock has jumped from €41 to €113 in just one year… that’s an extremely fast rise for a company that’s still fixing old structural issues.
When the price shoots up like this without strong fundamentals behind it, the risk shifts: holding means staying exposed.
So, looking at these numbers, it doesn’t make sense for me to buy now — and I’m seriously considering selling to protect capital while the market is overly optimistic.”

I see almost 100 % earnings growth here, which halves the P/E ratio.
