SAP: Things are going to get exciting tonight! 👀📈

Today after the market closes (10:05 p.m.), the quarterly results for $SAP (-0,68%) .

After the whole downturn, I’m finally back to almost break-even with my cost basis of €205. 🙌

I sat out the entire downturn, and of course I hope that my patience is now slowly paying off and that the recovery will continue after the earnings report. At 55k, SAP is one of my larger positions in my portfolio, so it would be a bummer if it goes south...

In any case, analysts’ expectations aren’t low:

☁️ Cloud revenue: €6.58 billion (+24%)

📊 Total revenue: €10.11 billion (+11%)

💰 Earnings per share: €1.79 (+13%)

SAP needs to deliver now! I hope that cloud growth remains this strong and that the AI story slowly starts to show up in the numbers as well.

What do you think? Will the recovery continue, or will the next setback follow after these results? 🚀📉

I'm expecting a pullback because "good" won't be good enough. And it's simply performed too well. If I were trading, I'd go short on the numbers in the short term. But that would be purely a technical trade and not based on fundamentals.

@Multibagger I also think it's overbought on the daily chart. I'm also expecting a pullback, but of course it could turn out quite differently.

Salesforce is demonstrating what the next step might look like with Agentforce, its platform for AI agents that autonomously handle tasks within business processes. Agentforce now generates annualized recurring revenue of more than $1.5 billion. More than half of the bookings for Agentforce and the Data 360 data platform come from existing customers who are expanding their contracts. Salesforce sees this as evidence that customers are actually using the applications productively. Such additional business is also likely to contribute to growth at SAP in the coming years. The key factors influencing the stock price will be how quickly this trend progresses and how it affects margins.

@Smudeo SAP already has something similar with Joule (or however you spell it). But so far, I haven’t heard anything about how it’s working out for customers. Or rather, I have… the feedback I’ve heard has been slightly negative, but that doesn’t really mean anything. People only ever give feedback when something isn’t going well… But I’d love to hear from an official source how this is translating into additional bookings.

@Part_Time_Joe
For SAP, the decisive phase in AI is now beginning: usage must translate into revenue. The company is aligning sales compensation more closely with actual data and AI consumption. At the same time, the first customers are gaining access to Joule Work, the new AI interface for SAP applications, corporate data, and AI assistants. Novartis is testing a procurement assistant, and PwC is expanding its collaboration following initial implementations. SAP is expected to cite additional customer examples next week. However, financial details are not yet available.

Regardless of the numbers, the price will either go up or down. As long as the investment case remains sound, I would just ride out the fluctuations—just as you’ve already done.

@Tuffbet Well, back then, the investment strategy was really just to speculate on a 10% rebound after it fell from 270 euros. I didn't think it would go down that far... 😅
