Change of favorite raw materials?

After spending the last few days intensively examining the commodities topic, reading studies and assessments and selling various profit positions, I am considering re-entering the lithium sector. According to the latest forecasts, the undersupply of lithium will not only begin in 2028, but there will already be a serious shortfall next year. The reason for this is the ESS energy storage systems. Due to the huge demand, it can be assumed that the price of lithium will at least double again within 12 months. Of course, companies that are about to complete exploration measures would benefit significantly from this. First of all, I see $SLI (+2,33%) or on $LIFT (-3,69%) . Both already have offtake agreements with large energy companies.

In addition, speculation on $JKS (+0,23%) could make sense. They only have the solar sector as a by-product and instead build large ESS systems, where they already have a market share of 10%.

Certainly not a bad C/R ratio due to the increasing energy demand.

What do you think about investing in lithium or lithium companies? Have you already invested?

I'm not in lithium at the moment.
I'm trying to consolidate because I have to monitor too many positions at once anyway.
Many commodities, especially metals, still look constructive in my opinion 👍: $PHAG $PHPD $PHPT $COPA

I am invested in $RIO...pays a handsome dividend and is the world's second largest lithium producer. In my opinion, the advantage here is also the additional capacities of copper, iron etc. and now also the move towards rare earths.

In addition, with $3750 I have another large lithium producer with, among other things, direct in-house ESS offers and, in my opinion, undisputed market leader qualities in the portfolio.

That's enough for me in this area in the long term.

However, I might consider opening a smaller position in $DR0.

@SAUgut777 I'm with you on $3750. But it's also a big ship. I'm more after the riskier, but also more promising small caps.

I also find German raw materials very interesting

@Multibagger So I can't complain about CATL, I opened my previous position directly after the IPO in Hong Kong and it's running, although there is still a lot of potential here in the future.

They will continue to play a leading role not only in the EV sector...and they have also been working on alternatives for a long time, just think of the salt-based EV battery, for example.

So there is still a lot of potential...and in my opinion they are still undervalued for the future...EM just 😉

@Tenbagger2024 I've unfortunately only been looking at it for a short time, not a lithium player, but I like it so far...the outlook also looks quite good in this context and the "tungsten" theme doesn't hurt.

I had already looked at it a few times last year. But I found Tech even more interesting then.

@Tenbagger2024 could have been...but I only know enough about my watchlist 😂

Nevertheless, commodities are becoming more and more interesting 👍🏻

I'm also with fortescue. They are increasingly becoming an electricity supplier. They have now launched an initiative for the production of green steel. It's very exciting what's going on

@Tenbagger2024 also interesting in the topic, but will take some time 😉

Yes, it takes patience. Until then, I will continue to collect dividends

I have been invested for a few weeks now
I am convinced that the last few years will be very exciting again before there are new alternatives

@Multibagger I came across $VUL Vulcan Energy some time ago and am a fan of the idea of not only extracting lithium in a climate-neutral way in the middle of Europe, but also supplying the surrounding area (Rhine Graben) with geothermal energy.

It's still pretty much in its infancy, but there are increasing signs that it could turn out well (EUR 100 million in funding from the federal government, currently an order for the construction of the corresponding plants has been placed with ABB. And the first framework agreements with the automotive industry have already been signed.

If the Lionheart project gets up to speed, I think it will be a very interesting company (https://v-er.eu/de/projektphase-eins/)
