☢️ Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) - The secret profiteer in the nuclear race?

Hello everyone,

I have searched the whole forum and my jaw really dropped. Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) has not been mentioned here not once in a German contribution even mentioned with a single word!

$NNE

I'm really surprised that this extremely exciting player doesn't seem to be on anyone's watch list here 🧐 After all, half the world is stubbornly chasing after Oklo or NuScale, while NNE is secretly building a real monster foundation in the second row. That can't really be the case for an active forum like ours!

That's why I sat down today and ran the company through our big set of tools - including hard quality metrics, our new GROWTH check and the extended chart routine.

Fasten your seatbelts, here comes the big performance for your watchlist! 🚀

attachment

1. what the company does (business model & moat)

Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) develops portable, advanced microreactors (the "KRONOS" and "ZEUS" models). The goal: clean energy for remote locations, mines, military bases and AI data centers. The real highlight (and moat): NNE doesn't just want to build reactors, but the entire control the entire supply chain. At the end of May 2026, they acquired the company Secured Transportation Services (STS) for USD 13 million. STS transports nuclear waste for the US Department of Energy. While the reactors are still in the approval process, NNE is already buying real, functioning real, functioning infrastructure and initial revenues in!

2. key figures / data / facts (live data: June 04, 2026)

  • Current share price: ~$25.13 USD
  • Market capitalization: ~$1.35 billion USD
  • 52-week range: $18.93 - $60.87 USD
  • KGV / KCV / CUV: Negative / Not applicable (core business not yet generating profits, TTM EPS is -$0.69).
  • P/B (price-to-book): ~2.67 (Moderate for a tech/energy startup).
  • Dividend yield: 0,0 %

3. the hard quality metrics

  • Rule of 40: Not met (revenue currently still at 0, operating loss).
  • ROIC (Return on Invested Capital): -6,8 %. Capital flows massively into research & development.
  • SBC ratio (share-based payment): High (approx. USD 7.1 million in the last 12 months). There is a clear dilution risk for us shareholders here.
  • Net debt / EBITDA: NNE is fundamentally loss-making (EBITDA -$30m), but has sufficient cash (quick ratio above 95) to finance the next stages of development thanks to the IPO and capital increases.

4. check against the established formulas

  • Core quality formula (growth + margin): < 0 = Fail. It is a pure story stock.
  • Cash flow quality formula: Free cash flow TTM is -$36.8m USD. FCF yield is deep red.
  • Dividend filter: Logically fails completely.
  • Exclusion Rule: According to hard fundamental criteria (permanent losses, story > numbers), NNE would be a no-go for an underlying investment. This is purely a bet for the "Side B" (gambler's barbell).

5. the GROWTH check

  • G (Growth 5Y): Not yet measurable / losses widen as planned through R&D.
  • R (risk factors): 3/6th Massive regulatory hurdles (NRC approvals), high cash burn rate and recent insider selling (management has dumped massive amounts of stock on the market in recent months). Positive: The STS takeover reduces the risk somewhat.
  • O (Ongoing Growth): In its last Q2 report (mid-May 2026), NNE reported EPS of -$0.18, beating analyst estimates (-$0.27) by a wide margin! The STS acquisition will bring real revenue to the books for the first time this year.
  • W (value): Classic overvaluation based on the present, undervaluation based on 2030 potential.
  • T (Target): Analysts currently give an average price target of $45.76 USD (almost 80 % upside!).
  • H (High-Trend): Long-term in downtrend from all-time high ($60+), but medium-term price is starting to climb above important trigger lines.

6. extended chart routine (the perfect timing)

  • Position to the SMAs:
  • SMA 20: ~$25.28 USD
  • SMA 50: ~$23.52 USD
  • SMA 200: ~$31.78 USD

  • Spacing: The price ($25.13) is currently clinging like a magnet to the 20-day line (-0.6 %). It has successfully fought its way above the 50-day line, but is still a whopping -21 % below the 200-day line.

  • Formations & trend: After the sharp drop from the 52-week high ($60.87), we see a massive bottoming phase between $23 and $26 USD. bottoming phase. As long as the price remains above the SMA 50 ($23.52), the short-term trend is bullish. A breakout above $26 could quickly close the gap towards $30.

7 The competition & potential replacements

NNE competes with NuScale Power (SMR), Oklo (OKLO) and Bill Gates' TerraPower. However, NNE is the only player that has the extreme focus on microreactors and vertical integration (fuel logistics).

8 Profit margins & operational development

Margins do not yet exist in the core business. The free cash flow is strongly negative (-$36.8m USD). You are buying the vision here, not the current balance sheet.

9. the analysts' view

The broad market is surprisingly bullish. The Danelfin AI scoring currently gives the stock a "hold" but gives it an increased probability of beating the market in the next 3 months due to the bottoming out. Price targets call for $45+ USD.

attachment

10. the CEO & management view

CEO James Walker steers the ship with great vision (secure fuel supply chain). Beware, red rag: Management and insiders (like President Jiang Yu) have cashed in big time in the last 6 months, selling shares over 50 times (0 buys!). This must be kept in mind during the euphoria.

11. special entry zones ("bargain hunter list")

  • Aggressive entry: Directly at the SMA 50 at $23.50 - $24.00 USD. This is a strong technical support level.
  • Bargain hunter (post-buy zone): At $18.90 - $20.00 USD (test of the 52-week low).

12. future variability & long-term survival chance

An absolutely binary investment. If they get the NRC licenses for the reactors, in $NNE a billion-dollar giant in the energy sector in 10 years. If they fail from a regulatory point of view, they risk a total loss in the long term. However, the clever STS logistics takeover ensures that they will have a right to exist in the US nuclear ecosystem in the future, even without reactors.

13 My personal conclusion & perspective

NNE is a purebred side-B value for the offensive side of my barbell strategy. Fundamentally, the stock fails every quality test. Buying here is buying a call option on the AI-driven nuclear renaissance.

The chart shows a nice bottom formation, and the entry near the 20-day line offers a reasonable risk/reward ratio. Limit strictly, set a mental stop-loss and ride out the volatility!

A little side note from me: Because I'm letting my pants down so openly here, I also want to be completely transparent: I'm not going to flinch for long and am also putting my own money on the table here. This morning I put a first small "skin in the game" position in my portfolio as a gamble for my Side B of the dumbbell strategy 🛒 NuScale and Oklo can dress warmly, I am now officially Team NNE and extremely excited to see where the journey will take me!

How are things looking for you? Did nobody really have this place on their radar or is it just too hot for you? Let's hear your opinions!

You won't believe it, it's been on my watchlist for a long time and I've mentioned it in a few conversations here 🤫

However, at the time it was only tradable via US stock exchanges and overall not interesting enough for me 🫡

@SAUgut777 I thought I had read it from someone here in the comments whenever it was about nuclear power.👍🏻

@Raketentoni so when I click on the ticker you linked (app), I see two posts under the Forum tab before your introduction 🤔 At least they were linked once, I think in one of them something was written in more detail about $NNE.

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin And I only see my contribution ??? That's funny. Checked both on mobile and desktop PC. That's why I was surprised

@Raketentoni That is indeed strange. 😅🤔 Oh, did you display posts in English? Because neither of them are in German.

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin Then I know why :D I may have turned it off at the very beginning, okay, then it's the first one in German LOL

It's on my radar, but I don't really believe that it can become something. Or rather, it's not for my portfolio/style as I'm already in it for the long term, there's still a lot to prove here. However, some money could be made with the SMR hype if you get out in time.
I am already invested in $CCO $NXE & $CEG.

Juan had already put them on the table for me once. But then there are always comments: You always present stocks that I can't trade with my broker". So we saved ourselves the trouble. Because it's always such a shame for all the work you put in. And then all you get as a comment is "I can't trade". That's not enough motivation. So, my dear, thank you for your great effort. Great performance

@Tenbagger2024 So I can trade the share :) Where can you not trade it? TR? ING?
••

@Raketentoni So I am told NASDAQ and
Societe Generale, and the Neo Brokers often only have German stock exchanges, and some only have a contract with a certain stock exchange. That's why everything is free of charge.

@Tenbagger2024 Okay, so I can trade everything at Saxo, worldwide, even Tokyo, Australia etc. with 1$ commission

@Raketentoni I think Trade is or used to be connected to Bader. But I'm sure @Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin knows all about it. In most cases, shares where the price is not displayed here are not tradable with most brokers.

@Tenbagger2024 all neo-brokers do not work, as only over-the-counter direct trading is possible in Germany. Or directly NYSE, but then you need a real broker. I can buy them at ING and comdirect. Not TR and Zero.

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin @Tenbagger2024 Oh man, I have luxury here in Denmark, on average I pay between 1$ and 3 Euro commission, but for that:

Saxo Bank offers access to over 125 global stock exchanges and trading centers worldwide via its platforms. These include the most important markets in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

@Raketentoni this is really mega, the offer.👌🏻

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin The comments usually come from users who are on TR. You just can't have everything, trade free of charge, and then on every stock exchange. If you want that, go to a savings bank 🙈😂

@Tenbagger2024 it's anything but fee-free, my dear.😂🫣 But spoiler: There will be a neobroker-like offer coming at the savings banks. Let yourself be surprised.😏 And brokers like ING or comdirect do it too. However, I would only start promotions or something like that.

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin the farmer's bank is going into competition, I'm also curious to see what the outcome will be. Likewise how the chase network develops, more competition = more good and so on

Nice overview! I've been in since mid-April and am building my position. I hold $OKLO as well, and would like to enter $LTBR soon.

I would tend to stay away from it. As you say, NNE "fundamentally fails", but above all I am not convinced by the basic idea of placing small nuclear reactors everywhere from a physical, economic and safety point of view.
Even though I find nuclear power plants an exciting technology in principle and would have let them run longer in Germany, I think that nuclear power has no future, especially in this format, because:
1. smaller plants tend to become more inefficient.
2. the question of final storage has still not been answered.
3. nuclear power is generally not cheap and it would simply be more worthwhile to rely on good storage technologies.
4. the risk of terrorism would INCREASE.

Overall, I think above all that such parts will not be allowed, at least not in reputable countries.
Nevertheless, I am happy to be convinced otherwise and wish you every success with your investment!

@Kekspilot "Moin @Kekspilot, thanks for the strong and honest comment!

You hit the nail on the head: Fundamentally, NNE fails every one of my strict quality and cash flow filters. That's why it's not a core position in my portfolio, but is strictly on the 'B side' (the speculative dumbbell side) as an extremely small venture capital bet. It is pure future fantasy.

To your points - they are absolutely correct for classic large-scale power plants, but NNE and the micro-reactors play in a completely different niche:

Re 1 (inefficiency): With huge NPPs, 'economy of scale' applies (the bigger, the more efficient). NNE relies on 'economy of multiples'. The plants are not to be built on the construction site, but rather mass-produced like cars in a factory on an assembly line and delivered in standard shipping containers. This is supposed to kill the massive construction cost explosions of classic nuclear power plants.

Re 2 (final storage): The global problem remains, but the mechanics are changing. These micro-reactors (such as the Zeus or Odin models) are closed, sealed systems that run for 10 to 20 years without refueling. After that, the fuel rods are not handled on site, but the entire container is returned to the factory.

Re 3 (costs vs. storage): Absolutely right for our domestic power grid. But NNE does not want to be connected to the normal grid. Their target group are remote mining mines, disaster areas, military outposts or remote industrial plants. There, the current alternative is not solar+storage, but diesel, which has to be flown in by helicopter or truck over hundreds of kilometers. Against this extremely expensive logistics diesel, the micro-reactor is suddenly highly profitable.

Re 4 (terrorism & permission): This is indeed the biggest risk and the absolute bottleneck. The US authorities (NRC) are merciless. NNE has to prove that the sealed solid cores will not blow up even in the event of a direct attack. Whether they get this approval in 'serious countries' in a timely manner is the million dollar question that this company will grow or die on.

As I said, this is not a widows and orphans paper, but a highly speculative ride. I chalk it up to a risky ticket into a potential new technology. Thank you for the good exchange!"
