At some point it's good

There were two positions in my portfolio that annoyed me a little. One was $NVDA (-1,52%) because the crooked number of 4800 bills triggered my OCD (well, not really, but I do like round numbers). The second position was $FSK (-3,97%) . It was down 40 percent recently (after today's crash).

I thought to myself, "At some point, it's enough" and sold the losing stock completely. I no longer believe it.

On the other hand, I believe extremely strongly in NVIDIA. That's why today, precisely because $NVDA (-1,52%) the market punished the stock so badly after exorbitantly good figures, I added 200 shares today - now the total is round, and I also no longer have to look at this bad buy at $FSK (-3,97%) any more.

Why the stock market $NVDA (-1,52%) can only be explained by the fact that the market has pushed "weak hands" out of the market, who may have bought yesterday and briefly enjoyed a profit after the market close, in order to then buy more cheaply. The next few weeks will show that, although I am thinking in terms of years for NVIDIA anyway.

I have to admit that I am annoyed by NVIDIA's sell-off, but because of something else entirely: outrageous titles like $TSLA (-2,72%) one of the most disastrous companies in my opinion, are hyped by the market to the hilt, while true innovation drivers are beaten down despite incredible profits/free cash/outlook. But I'm sure that in the long term I'm backing the right horse. We'll be talking again in 2030.

I wish you a peaceful evening.

How much of your assets does the 63% Nvidia weighting represent in your assets? Such a weighting is official for the portfolio 🙌

@AxoWallStreet There are still properties, so the adjusted share is probably around 25 percent, roughly estimated.

If NVIDIA falls below $170, which I don't think is out of the question, then you can buy more parts below and round up to the next round number

@Sansebastian The 8 percent drop today was reason enough for me.

@Charmin then best not to look into the portfolio below 170$ for the time being 😉

It is suspicious how NVIDIA has shaved off almost 8% and there is not even a rudimentary rebound in the course of the day.

@FairValue I assume there has been a lot of profit taking and many sheep that bought last night have been shorn. Possible that it will continue down tomorrow, sure, but I think we'll see the rebound tomorrow.

It's the usual fidgeting. This time I used it to add to my position. If it goes down further, I don't care because I'm still sleeping well. In the long term, NVIDIA will continue to go up bit by bit.

What people don't realize: AI is still in its infancy. I used Codex (openAI) for the first time today, set to a code base of 20,000 lines. Every optimization that Codex suggested (and changed directly in the code after approval) was flawless.

And this only three years after chatPGT 2.

We're still scratching the surface here. The big players will do *anything* to keep up. It's like the early 70s when Intel introduced the 4004.

$NVDA is Intel 50 years ago.

Nice with 40k into the falling knife 🤪
If a rebound comes, it should pull up to around $193/194; if it is weaker, that would be a first warning signal.
If it then breaks $184, it will plummet back down to $170, under which, after all the months of sideways movement, there will be a lot of leveraged longs with cascading SLs: That would be the flash crash.
If the rebound doesn't come...good night Johanna.
But all just eventualities, we'll see 😅

@BeachPlease Yes, yes. But with a visibility of weeks to months. I have a view of years.

Both are valid, the strategy is just different. At least I have no problem with that at all.

Ah yes, changing a position depending on earnings is the result of a more long-term view 😂

@BeachPlease I don't remember changing my position based on earnings. As far as my memory serves me, I changed it based on the price.

For thinking in the long term, you're putting a lot of thought into what's happening at the moment 😬

@Alpalaka Sure, sure, one does not exclude the other. If short-term opportunities arise that fit in with my long-term strategy, I'll go for it.

The 8 percent drop was one such case. Short-term investors were forced out of the market so that long-term investors could buy more cheaply.
