Ouster has launched its new Rev8 OS sensor family presented.
The highlight:
It is the world's first lidar sensor with "Native Color".
- technology: The sensors simultaneously capture 3D data and color information (RGB) at chip level. This often makes additional cameras for color recognition superfluous.
- Performance: The new L4 chips double the range and resolution compared to the previous generation (Rev7).
- Customers: Heavyweights such as Google, Volvo Autonomous Solutions and Liebherr are already planning to use the new sensors.
This morning it was announced that the Rev8 sensors directly into the $NVDA (-0,19%)
NVIDIA Jetson platform. platform. This is an accolade for the hardware, as robotics and AI developers can now seamlessly access the high-resolution color lidar data.
