I saw that last time with TeamViewer. It was to build confidence in the stock. I don't think it turned out so well. They could have invested that money better.

@Applesplit Yeah, it's certainly a fair comparison. A sponsor like many other companies, and the comparison with $TMV, which paid 235 million pounds as a jersey sponsor.

@Applesplit That’s exactly what just crossed my mind, too. And after a quick search:
TeamViewer is no longer the main and jersey sponsor of Manchester United.
• End of jersey sponsorship: The German technology company TeamViewer pulled out early from its lucrative jersey sponsorship deal—which was originally set to run through 2026—at the end of the 2023–24 season.
• New jersey sponsor: Starting with the 2024–25 season, Qualcomm, with its Snapdragon brand, took over the spot on the front of Manchester United’s jersey.
