New ETFs in the Spotlight – Are You Betting on Asia? 🌏

I'd like to add a new ETF to my$VHYL (-0,65%) portfolio. Now I'm considering adding two more ETFs: the $FYEQ (-1,14%) and the $FGEQ (-0,12%)

I find the inclusion of Asian markets particularly exciting. Of course—these regions aren’t among the absolute top performers right now. But I’m very curious to see what the future holds. If these countries experience strong growth in the coming years, I see enormous long-term potential there, despite all the current turmoil surrounding China and others.

Do you perhaps have these two ETFs in your portfolio, or do they not really fit into your strategy?

What’s your general take on this: Are you invested in Asia and emerging markets—whether through ETFs or even individual stocks? Or are you staying completely out of them?

I’m looking forward to hearing your opinions and strategies!

Good morning, @RenditeRudin. I started investing in the $D05 DBS Group at the beginning of the year. I was looking for a reliable dividend stock with an “Asian flair” without too much exposure to China. However, an ETF like $FYEQ is much more broadly diversified.
Best regards from the “Pott,” Markus

Thanks for your comment, Markus. I'm definitely going to add this ETF to my portfolio—I think it has everything I'm looking for. The dividend could be higher, but you can't have it all.

Asia isn't among the top performers? The Nikkei just keeps going and going. The AI trend is driving up EM (excluding China) and Japan ETFs like crazy. I'm betting on a diversified portfolio of Korea, Japan, and EM. Everything except China is already doing super well. Are you looking for a dividend-paying ETF?

@Shareholder My mistake—I was talking too generally about Asia. What I really meant to say was that China isn't doing all that well. But yeah, the rest of the region is very strong, and I'd like to incorporate that into my portfolio for the long term. Personally, I prefer dividend-paying ETFs—do you have any good ones to recommend? 😜

@RenditeRudin Things are getting tight for dividend-paying stocks—if you want to focus on Latin America (the Mercosur agreement could lead to more growth), $LTAM —Unfortunately, for emerging markets (excluding China), I’ve only found reinvestment funds (and I have one in my portfolio)

I invest in both Quality Income ETFs ( $FGEQ and $FYEQ ) and contribute to them monthly. As a dividend investor, I’m happy with both and can recommend them. In addition, I also hold $8001, $D05, and $9433 as my Asian investments.

I've added the WisdomTree True Emerging Markets ETF to my watchlist; it focuses on Asia and emerging markets, but excludes China and Taiwan. $WEMT

Japan often proves to be a good investment. $8001 $8002 $8053 $9983, etc.

I'm also going to add a Nikkei ETF to my portfolio; I already have it on my watchlist. I just need to time my entry right, along with my other savings plans.
