Arm Holdings (Softbank wants to challenge Nvidia)

Just bought more 🤑🤞🏼

Arm $ARM (+3,77%) mutates from a license architect to a real chip powerhouse.

  • Own chips: Arm now builds finished AI hardware instead of just blueprints. This pushes margins into completely different regions.

  • Data center: The cloud giants are kicking Intel/AMD out by the dozen. By 2030, half the server market will run on Arm.

  • Nvidia vibes: Masayoshi Son wants to know now. With "Project Izanagi", Arm becomes a direct Nvidia hunter.

The announced goal is to triple turnover and achieve a trillion-euro valuation by 2030.

Those who only stare at the P/E ratio are missing out on the fundamental replacement of x86 👻

Do you already see advantages in Izanagi? The funding is just about to start and there are no chips yet?
Would you like to participate in the long term?

@Applesplit Sure, you can't buy an Arm chip in a box yet, but it's the pipeline that counts on the stock market - and it's certainly confirmed:
The first own hardware is already on the way. Arm has already set up its own department for AI chips. The prototype has been announced for spring and mass production at TSMC is set to start this year (i.e. 2026). According to reports, Meta is already on board as the first major customer. Meta will save development costs and time

Arm is also already selling Compute Subsystems (CSS). These are no longer just ideas, but almost finished chip units. This means that Arm is currently transforming itself from a pure IP licensor to a genuine product supplier.

"Softbank is now investing USD 100 billion in Project Izanagi in order to attack Nvidia directly.

Yes, this position is being continuously expanded and will remain in the portfolio in the long term.

Last year, reports were published suggesting that ARM was looking to develop AI chips in certain areas, for example in collaboration with Nvidia. However, I would like to question the basis for the assumption that ARM is becoming a leader in chip manufacturing. Is this a personal assumption or is there a source? Although I don't rule out the possibility, the statement seems a bit exaggerated compared to the available reports.

@KryX_DE the fundamentals come directly from Arm ir, Financial Times, Reuters etc.

Arm's CEO Rene Haas has long since made the change in strategy from pure designer to "product company" official. In the last earnings call, it became clear that sales are massively driven by so-called compute subsystems (CSS). These are no longer mere licenses, but "silicon-ready" designs - i.e. almost complete chip packages.
The figures show record sales from CSS and a doubling of data center royalties.....

Arm has already confirmed Meta as the first major customer for its new, self-developed AI chips (FT/Reuters).

At the same time, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son is pumping 100 billion dollars into the development of its own Arm AI hardware via "Project Izanagi" in order to attack Nvidia directly.

Arm is thus becoming a "fabless" manufacturer like Nvidia or AMD and is currently climbing up the entire value chain.
