Small depot conversion (?)

Hey getquin,

In addition to my (All) World / EM ETF (which is not what today is about), I still have a little hodl to death $BTC (-0,57%) in my portfolio. As satellites I have two sector ETFs $WITS (-1,66%) (IT) and $WHCS (-0,12%) (Health Care) as satellites.

The IT ETF is doing quite well. The Health Care is a failure across the board.

The idea behind the two ETFs was originally a portfolio booster without effort in a weighting where it is not a problem if nothing boosts 😅.

There is currently around 115k in both together. They are each saved with 1,000 euros per month (no, I'm not a millionaire, but I'm redeploying equity that was planned for a house purchase).

In the meantime @Epi s $DE000LS9U6W1 (+1,03%) has also found its way into my portfolio. Significantly more volatile. Significantly more risk. But also significantly more boost than the two sector ETFs. And easy to buy and hold.

For a few days now, I've been thinking about selling the two sector ETFs, putting 50k into the wikifolio of @Epi to get a real booster in my portfolio, and to put the remaining 65k into my world / EM ETF to take out a little risk. I would gradually build up the 50k by the end of the year.

These are my thoughts. What are yours?

👍 Make

🆘 What is this weird product from @Epi be?

♥️ Sell the sector ETF and shift everything into the world / EM ETF

🚀 Sell the sector ETF and shift everything into Bitcoin

😭 Sell the sector ETF and send the money to me (justification in the comments)

🤣 Nah, better leave everything as it is

Thanks and a kiss

Your donkey 👄

In addition to @Epi s Wikifolio, you should not overlook @Krush82 s $DE000LS9VVV3.
I would allocate to both.

@Olli68 I also have a few cool active funds like $TZG9RF 😘

@Olli68 I haven't looked into this in any depth. Why do I need this in addition?
imagem de perfil
@TotallyLost What can it do? Why should I?

@DonkeyInvestor for even more carrots for the donkey

@Krush82 Seriously: A useful addition to 3xGTAA?
1
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor I would describe it as a booster for your equity portfolio. I think that's what you had in mind with your tech ETF.
The 3xGTAA is much broader in scope. The two together don't hurt each other and complement each other very well (in my eyes).

@DonkeyInvestor This can be answered by those who are invested with me and @Epi.

@DonkeyInvestor I think I have to do another post where I present a fund like no other...

Hold your money together donkey, it's getting wild. 😘
(probably won't come until the weekend though... I've got a lot to do)

@DonkeyInvestor I have both. <security:n/a:DE000LS9VVV3> US Momentum Leaders is a concentrated equity momentum model. I've added it to my trading portfolio because I'm curious to see how it performs beyond the backtests. If it performs as expected, I will gradually add to it more significantly.

@Olli68 The question is: Can't one do? A slightly broader base wouldn't hurt either. If I remember correctly, @Krush82 is focusing on just 2 titles?

I think @Epi 's GTAA model is great, which is why I would shift some of it there if I were you.
However, I'm just as convinced by $BTC, but I seem to remember you mentioning your considerable BTC position, which is why I voted in favor of shifting everything into EPI's certificate.
2
imagem de perfil
@BruceBullridge BTC would still be considerably larger even with 50k in 3xGTAA

In general, of course, I hope and pray that @TotallyLosts wife doesn't change sides just as quickly 😉

@DonkeyInvestor 😅
Epi's wife is the life insurance behind the Wikifolio. I will probably receive 4k in 3xGTAA tomorrow in a first tranche. 👍🏼

@Wealth-Accelerator have currently placed a limit order for 25 shares

imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor
I still had to open a Smartbroker+, tomorrow I'll see if I'm already allowed to trade 👍🏼
1
imagem de perfil
@Wealth-Accelerator Yes, I had to do that back then too. And then they don't support real-time transfers 😭
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor
However, the direct debit works in real time. 👌🏼
But they still want to check whether I know what I'm doing.
imagem de perfil
@Wealth-Accelerator but only up to 5k. Not enough for 25 pieces
1
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor Good to know, I've stayed well below that with 4k. 👌🏼
2
imagem de perfil
@Wealth-Accelerator You can do what you like, but only I can do what I like with my wife. 🤨
2
imagem de perfil
@Epi Is it still a woman when you're levering it? No offense, I'm just curious and open to all life models
imagem de perfil
I can't concentrate on the questions with the gif... I'm a hoof trimmer and know the anatomy of horses and donkeys... The animation is very disturbing for me :-o
Just by the way... ;-)

@Skraja then I'll come and see you

I'm in favor of holding the sector ETFs, especially healthcare. As long as tech is doing well it will keep getting cheaper, but when the AI supercycle ends you will be happy to have it.

There is hardly anything more defensive than healthcare. It's really completely underestimated at the moment, although there are many structural drivers. In my opinion, you're not doing anything wrong, but of course it's not as "sexy" as it's often seen on social media.
2
imagem de perfil
@Soprano Thank you. The second reason for health Care was to bring a little stability to the portfolio. But it is actually stable enough thanks to the world ETF
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor Well, it's not even just about stability, but that healthcare often performs better in times of uncertainty than in times of euphoria. Not just with coronavirus, but when it comes to issues such as interest rate concerns and the economy. If gold and bonds are too dull for you, healthcare is a good way to hedge your tech positions.
1
imagem de perfil
@Soprano How defensive HealthCare is is debatable.
Yes, the sector is cheap right now, but a large part of the profits are produced in the US healthcare system.
And this is increasingly becoming a political issue.
Trump has practically already toyed with the idea of capping drug prices and the Democrats tend to be less big pharma.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_health_expenditure_per_capita

The USA spends 50% more per patient than second place in the world (Switzerland).

Healthcare spending is 18% of GDP compared to Germany's 12 - 13%.

That's why I don't have an active position, the bet that the biggest and most expensive market for healthcare will get even bigger and more expensive is not one I want to take, the binary regulatory risk is almost impossible to price and when it hits it hits hard.

Send me the money, I have 3 children and my unemployed wife to feed 😭😅
1
imagem de perfil
@Da_Fischi Do you also use it for the divorce?
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor No, just don't, I'm glad to have found someone who can put up with me 😂
1
imagem de perfil
@Da_Fischi Rice works well with the diet. Then add vegetables on feast days, but not too much
3
imagem de perfil
@Da_Fischi then you are happier than any money in the world could make you
2
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor I didn't say I was unhappy either, just hungry 🤣
imagem de perfil
@Da_Fischi then rice!
imagem de perfil
@GoDividend far too expensive, the little ones mainly get chickpeas at the moment.
1
imagem de perfil
@Da_Fischi @GoDividend can still learn something
1
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor Rice is generally cheaper than chickpeas.
Purchase: Rice (from approx. €1.50/kg) is generally cheaper than dried chickpeas (from approx. €3.00/kg).
Energy: Rice only needs about 15-20 minutes to cook. Chickpeas need 60-90 minutes, which multiplies the electricity/gas costs.
1
imagem de perfil
@GoDividend Yes, but you are ignoring satiety:
Rice = 130kcal per 100g -> approx. 2-4h full,
Chickpeas = 164kcal per 100g -> typical satiety approx. 4-7h

Conclusion: 300g chickpeas are as filling as 500-700g rice.
Further advantages of chickpeas:
- significantly more protein
- much more fiber
- lower rise in blood sugar
- slower digestion
Sometimes we really let it rip and have chickpeas with rice, but only when I've got vacation or Christmas money 😅

😭 If your portfolio doesn't get boosted, then maybe mine will.
If that doesn't work, then just make Epi rich. But it also depends on how big the overall portfolio is, which at least I don't know. I wouldn't invest more than a maximum of 20%.
1
imagem de perfil
@Solitair how would you boost yours with the money?

The total size depends heavily on Bitcoin 😅. Currently the 50k would be well below 10%. So everything is in the green. Or too low?
@DonkeyInvestor then everything could go in.

For me personally, however, I would probably invest a portion in $TDIV. Maybe around 20k or until I have 1000 of them. Unfortunately, I only have a small position in Bitcoin.

Please just send it to me out of principle.🤷🏼‍♂️
imagem de perfil
@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin What is this principle?
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor not just any principle. It is THE principle. It is called donkey-based charity and should only be shown to those who vehemently and directly invoke THE principle.🤷🏼‍♂️
imagem de perfil
@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin all right. Address?
imagem de perfil
imagem de perfil
@GoDividend and are you making something of it?
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor nope, I'm watching
imagem de perfil
@GoDividend Watching is also an activity
imagem de perfil
What is the price of <security:n/a:DE000LS9U6W1>?
imagem de perfil
@SchmonInvest currently 215 Euro
1
imagem de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor not the price tag, but the maintenance costs?
imagem de perfil
@SchmonInvest 5% TER + performance bonus on new ATHs. @Epi can tell you exactly. Or can be found on the Wikifolio page https://www.wikifolio.com/de/de/w/wf03x0gtaa

@DonkeyInvestor then I voted correctly after all 🤓

I asked you the other day whether you regularly have the two sector ETFs in your savings plan.
I think your idea is a good one.
I would make the 50k a bit dependent on your total assets. For my taste, I would stick to a weighting of less than 10%. If the satellite then grows upwards on its own, that's fine.
Good luck!

I recently added $SEMI to my portfolio when I shortened my S&P500 and with 48% YTD I clearly beat my epi position. It's another sector, but maybe interesting for you.
