Hedged S&P500

$SPPE (+0,63%)

Hi, now that I've gotten some feedback from you guys in my last post, I'd like to introduce my pick as a replacement for the normal $VUSA (-0,1%) here. I've seen that there isn't a single post about it yet, so:

Goal: mitigate currency risk a bit.

It is accumulating, but hedged in €. The TER is actually even lower than the $VUSA (-0,1%) we are at 0.05% here. Has also been around for a few years + a good 2 billion invested. Has physical replication.

Overall, I actually really like it, nice instrument for currency risk management.

Let me know what you think :)

Hedged etf usually make little sense, 1 the companies also earn their money in currencies other than USD and 2 there is only a currency risk in the short term. Gerd kommer also has an article about it here

Isn't it a bit late for that and then you don't take the upswing with you when it goes the other way again and the dollar appreciates?

@parlania Yes, you're generally right. But it's about this post of mine, or rather I'm linking to it now. https://getqu.in/wh3D6v/
I had the "problem" that I had an astronomical % of the portfolio in USD. If I hedge one position - that was my plan - I can at least offset the currency risk a little. That was the plan

MMn it is now too late to hedge. It should have been done six months ago. FOMO?

I am also really affected. In USD my portfolio would have been in the plus instead of the minus since YTD. But I think the big party is over by now. And in the long term it is irrelevant

The right decision. The dollar will continue to fall. 👍
