I hold a position in Sezzle and, after seeing the market reaction to the results, I wanted to take a step back and look at the business rather than just the share price.

A nearly 20% drop obviously hurts, especially after such a strong run, but looking at the actual numbers, I don’t see a business that is deteriorating.

Revenue grew 51.7% YoY to $149.7M, beating expectations. Adjusted EPS came in at $1.13 versus $1.03 expected, net income increased almost 48%, GMV grew 37.9% and active subscribers jumped 76% to 854k.

The company also raised its 2026 guidance again, now expecting $185M of adjusted net income and $5.25 adjusted EPS.

So why the sell off?

For me, this is mainly about expectations. After a stock has gained more than 180% in a year, investors are no longer satisfied with very good results. They want exceptional results and a much bigger increase in guidance.

What keeps me interested is what is happening underneath the headline numbers.

Sezzle is slowly becoming much more than a traditional BNPL company. Pay in 5, Sezzle Mobile, deposit accounts, cash management and longer term lending are all part of a strategy to make Sezzle a much bigger part of its customers’ everyday financial lives.

I particularly like the engagement side of the story. More subscribers, more usage, higher purchase frequency and better customer data can create a very powerful flywheel.

The company is also investing heavily in marketing while maintaining a target payback period of less than six months. At the same time, credit performance remains strong and management continues to invest in underwriting, machine learning and AI.

Of course there are risks. The valuation is still not cheap, credit losses need to be monitored, margins will probably normalize from the unusually strong levels we have seen and growth is expected to slow somewhat in the second half of the year.

But I don’t see anything in these results that fundamentally changes my thesis.

I believe Sezzle has the potential to become a genuine fintech platform rather than simply another BNPL provider.

The interesting part is that the current guidance doesn’t even assume a meaningful contribution from several of the new products still being developed.

So yes, the correction hurts. But I haven’t changed my view of the business because the stock dropped 20%.

For me, the question isn’t whether Sezzle can grow. The numbers already show that it can.

The real question is how big this platform can become while maintaining these economics.

💳📉 Sezzle plunged 23% to $135.89 despite revenue of $149.7M (+51.7% YoY) beating estimates, spooked by guidance for growth to slow to ~30% in H2 2026.

Is anyone else experiencing pricing issues on Trade Republic? 🤔

I’m looking at Sezzle today and the price seems to have stopped updating around 14:30. Since then, no movement is being reflected in the app, even the market is still open.

This raises a few concerns. Could this be a delay or a technical glitch?

Has anyone experienced something similar with other stocks?

For context, this is not a small detail I’m currently up +55% on this position, so price accuracy really matters here.

Curious to know if this is an isolated issue or something more widespread.

Since my last post, I hope I’ve been able to contribute in a meaningful way. $SEZL (-0,73%)

Minneapolis, MN, Feb. 18, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sezzle Inc. (NASDAQ:SEZL) (Sezzle or Company) // - Sezzle, the digital financial platform designed to empower the next generation of consumers, today announced the launch of Sezzle Mobile, a truly unlimited mobile phone plan starting at $29.99 per month, designed for users who increasingly rely on Sezzle as a single destination for managing their everyday spending. Sezzle Mobile is powered by Gigs, the leader in embedded connectivity, and runs on the AT&T network.

As the newest addition to Sezzle's expanding ecosystem, Sezzle Mobile allows users to add an affordable phone plan with reliable coverage on AT&T's network directly within the Sezzle app. By bringing mobile connectivity into the platform, Sezzle is extending beyond checkout and into the everyday moments that power how users shop, connect, and manage their finances.

As expectations shift toward greater flexibility and simplicity across essential services, Sezzle Mobile offers a straightforward way to manage connectivity alongside the financial tools users already know and trust.

More for less.

At a time when the average single-line mobile plan in the U.S. costs $70-100 per month, Sezzle Mobile offers a radically simpler alternative with transparent pricing and no surprises. Starting at just $29.99 per month (excluding taxes and fees) for Sezzle Anywhere subscribers, Sezzle Mobile offers all the features of a premium phone plan, but at a significantly more affordable price point:

• Unlimited, prioritized 5G data that stays fast
• Unlimited talk and text
• Unlimited HD streaming
• Canada and Mexico roaming included
• Instant eSIM activation in the app

"With Sezzle Mobile, we're extending our platform into another essential category by offering a straightforward mobile plan with transparent pricing and dependable coverage," said Charlie Youakim, CEO and Co-Founder of Sezzle. "It's the next evolution of how we help users manage their financial journeys while providing savings on essential services, all in one place."

One Plan. No Fine Print.

Unlike other carriers that rely on multi-tiered plans, lengthy contracts, and hidden add-on fees, Sezzle Mobile keeps things simple. The plan is fully integrated into the Sezzle app, allowing users to manage their mobile service alongside shopping, spending, and financial tools. Users can cancel the plan at any time in the app, and there are no cancellation fees.

"Sezzle's move into mobile connectivity is a natural evolution of their mission to expand financial access," said Rishi Sachdeva, Head of Fintech at Gigs. "By embedding wireless directly into their platform, Sezzle can now offer their millions of users seamless connectivity alongside the payment flexibility they already trust – all in one place."

Expanding Sezzle's All-in-One Financial Hub

Sezzle Mobile marks the latest step in the Company's evolution into a comprehensive financial hub that helps users shop smarter, earn more, and learn better financial habits. With offerings that now span payments, subscriptions, discounts on everyday essentials like gas and dining, and mobile connectivity, Sezzle continues working to reduce financial stress and simplify the cost of living.

$SEZL (-0,73%)

This time my contribution goes to Sezzle $SEZL (-0,73%) a position where I have high conviction and which represents the asymmetric growth component of my portfolio strategy.

My thesis is grounded in fundamentals rather than market hype. Sezzle operates in the BNPL space, but what stands out is not just the growth of the market — it’s the company’s financial execution. Sezzle has been delivering strong double-digit revenue growth while simultaneously improving profitability, with expanding net margins and clear operating leverage as the business scales. Importantly, the company has transitioned toward positive cash flow generation, signaling a shift from externally financed growth to increasingly self-funded expansion.

From a financial perspective, I focus on a few key drivers: sustained revenue growth supported by rising active users and transaction volumes, disciplined cost control reflected in improving expense ratios, and a balance sheet that provides flexibility to reinvest in growth without excessive financial risk . In valuation terms, I view Sezzle as a small-cap growth company whose improving profitability is not yet fully reflected in its market pricing, creating an asymmetric risk-reward profile.

Within my portfolio, Sezzle serves as controlled growth optionality, a moderate-sized position with disproportionate upside potential if execution continues. It complements my core and defensive holdings and is integrated as part of a long-term, fundamentals-driven portfolio architecture rather than a short-term speculative trade.
