Hermes and Alphabet

Hello,

I'd like to add Alphabet C and Hermes to my portfolio. Given today's minor pullback, do you think it's a good time to make an initial investment?

This is intended as a long-term investment for at least 25 years in my core-satellite portfolio.

If your investment horizon is 25+ years, there’s no reason not to buy at the annual high 🫠

In 25 years, twenty percent of today’s value will have shrunk to peanuts (provided your investment strategy works out and both companies don’t sink into obscurity by then—but you’re obviously counting on that).

Well, Hermes hasn't hit its high for the year anyway. And Alphabet has already been above €330. So why not, right?

Sure, Alphabet is always a safe bet. I bought it last September at €220, right at its all-time high. People here laughed at me, too.

Why is the stock trading near its all-time high? Because it’s strong and will continue to be strong in the future.
