I was just about to say... 😉 ... This isn't a dud.

I know—it’s just a snapshot.

@NichtRelevant Thanks. It's always just a snapshot anyway, and the past doesn't tell us anything about the future. But the TDIV just wins me over.

••

NichtRelevant@NichtRelevant

@Keineui Apparently, you have TDIV and WINC in your portfolio. -> Same here. 😉
I actually think the combination is pretty nice, too. WINC as a dividend booster, TDIV as a sensible holding.

Warum????

@DonkeyInvestor great etf 😎

•

Donkey Diktator@DonkeyInvestor

@SquarePants Oh, okay then. My apologies.

@DonkeyInvestor One of my CORE holdings—why not? Moderate growth + a decent dividend, plus plenty of holdings in my portfolio that act as a defensive buffer. So, from my perspective, there’s a lot to be said for this stock.

•

Donkey Diktator@DonkeyInvestor

@Keineui To me, the focus on "reasonable dividends" and "modest growth" always sounds like a long-term dud.

••

Marty0292@Marty0292

@DonkeyInvestor An average of 12% over the last 10 years and 23% over the past year doesn't strike me as a total flop

•

Kanye-Invest@Kanye-Invest

@DonkeyInvestor Why not? 🙃

•

Donkey Diktator@DonkeyInvestor

@Marty0292 It's only 10 years, after all

It's a good investment for me, too. But I've already bought and sold some, and I'm not sure if it's a good long-term choice—especially because of the energy sector. But at least there's not much exposure to the U.S. 😉
