69Mondelez analysis
The Mondelez International 🍫(WKN: A1J4U0, ISIN: US6092071058) share price has been volatile over the past four weeks. At the beginning of March 2025, the share price stood at around USD 65.78. By March 20, 2025, it had fallen to EUR 58.89, which corresponds to a decline of around 10 %. This downward trend was reinforced by the price falling below the 200-day line on March 12, 2025, which is considered a technical sell signal 📉.
Despite this decline, the long-term outlook for Mondelez remains positive. The company benefits from its strong brand presence and global market position in snacks and confectionery. Analysts see further growth potential in the emerging markets in particular.
The share is currently trading at USD 66.86.
📢 New purchase: Mondelez International (NASDAQ: MDLZ) 🍫🌍
I've just added $MDLZ (+2,73%) to my portfolio! A food giant that produces iconic brands such as Oreo, Milka, Toblerone, Philadelphia and many others.
🔎 Why invest in Mondelez?
✅ Global presence - Operations in more than 150 countries, with a strong presence in emerging markets.
✅ Brands with pricing power - Products with strong consumer recognition and loyalty.
✅ Resilience - The food sector tends to be more stable even in times of economic uncertainty.
✅ Consistent dividends - Pays quarterly dividends with a track record of regular growth.
✅ Long-term growth potential - Betting on snacks, a segment in strong expansion.
🎯 Objective: Maintain position in the long term, benefiting from growing dividends and business appreciation.
📈 Mondelez fits my strategy of solid companies with predictable revenues, good cash flow and a focus on shareholder returns.
📉💬 What about you, do you have a position in companies in the food or defensive consumer sector?

🇨🇭 Swiss Dividend & Defensive Growth Stocks – Ranked
I screened 7 global blue chips with a value/growth balance using my PASS and Buffett-style filters. Here’s the verdict:
🔝 1. Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli ($LISP (-0,89%) )
🟩 Score: 89 – Excellent
📈 WB Score: 7 (Grade B)
📌 Insider-led, durable moat, elite brand.
🚨 BUT: Price per share (CHF 12,210!) makes it impractical for my strategy.
🥈 2. Nestlé ($NESN (-1,64%) )
🟨 Score: 75 – Strong
📈 WB Score: 4 (Grade D)
⚖️ Balanced income with global stability. Mildly overvalued but still attractive.
🥉 3. Mondelez ($MDLZ (+2,73%) )
🟨 Score: 70 – Strong
📈 WB Score: 4 (Grade D)
🍫 Snack leader with consistent cash flows. Mildly overvalued, but solid anchor.
⚖️ Honorable Mentions
- Roche ($ROG (-2,07%) ) – ⚖️ Fairly priced, insider-led, great pipeline, but slight value trap warning.
- Zurich Insurance ($ZURN (-0,52%) ) – Stable, shareholder-friendly.
- UBS ($UBSG (+0,42%) ) – Riskier financial play, some trap signals.
- On Holding ($ONON) – Growth potential, but overvalued; needs close monitoring.
🧠 Strategy Notes
✅ Favoring undervalued or stable-yield stocks with clear rotation plans.
❌ LISP is a dream stock, but high entry price makes it unsuitable for my dividend + compounding approach.
But I’m convinced it would make a fine addition to a portfolio and I will keep an eye on it and have it as one of my white whales!
