The Environment segment offers services associated with the cumulative recovery of animal by-products and food products containing animal origin substances, and the sale of the products resulting from this recovery for incorporation in the production of fertilizers, animal feed, and biodiesel. The Holdings segment refers to the services rendered by Semapa to its subsidiaries in various areas such as strategic planning, legal, financial, accounting, tax, and talent management, while incurring in payroll expenses and the contracting of specialized services. The company was founded on June 21, 1991 and is headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal.
