Milestone izzzz daaaa

Corona time started in 2020 and now, after 6 years, finally reached 300K 💪

A new milestone and just the beginning. The next few years will be extremely exciting and I will continue to give my all, invest consistently and think long-term.

I currently have all$ACN (-0,56 %) and $ADP (-0,17 %) in view. Right now $ADP (-0,17 %) is very exciting and I will definitely continue to invest if prices fall.

$GIS (+0,62 %) also appeals to me, the dividend tastes good. I'm also considering investing here.

$GIS has fallen by around 65% since 01/2023. There will be some reasons for this and whether the dividend is still being financed from profits or whether it is being taken from the substance - "to keep up appearances".

Without having researched the company's key figures or the challenges, I consider an investment there to be associated with a significantly higher risk. I think using the dividend yield alone as a benchmark is dangerous, because what if they cut it tomorrow - in order to be able to restructure their company? ("value trap"). Conversely, if they make the turnaround in terms of share price, you will have made a very profitable investment.

When I scroll through your portfolio, you seem to have a good knack for getting in on "punished" companies and thus making a good start (e.g. $UNH $SAP )
Your winners (top 5) make up around 50% of the portfolio. However, I would not realize any profits, but rather expand/strengthen other positions as you intend to do and thus reduce their weighting (unless they continue to run away 🚀).

Congratulations on your milestone! 🚀 I'll get there one day too, hopefully in the next 1-2 years 🤑.

@MoneyISnotREAL That's true, but the same thing happened with BATs and Altria back then. They were punished for years and nobody wanted them and yet I see some parallels to BATS here. Even if the dividend were to be cut by 50%, I would still find the investment attractive. A cut might even be good for the company in the long term. They have already been through many phases and crashes, a company like this doesn't just go under 😊

I am also invested in $GIS and will continue to add to my holdings. When the AI hype has cooled down / "normalized", I think such stocks will become more attractive. But it may take some time...

@Novius I'm right there with you. But you never know when the AI hype will end, it could easily go on for another five years 😄
But I generally think it's good to buy passive and boring stocks from time to time.
