... and that was almost certainly the last one of the year.

As announced, a short post about the last two (actually only one was planned, but what does the world cost😅) purchases I made this year.

I ordered today, in my usual entry-level sizes in total:

13x $NPN (+0 %)

and

27x $CHWY (+0,09 %)

For those who don't know Naspers: a South African holding company that, through its majority-owned subsidiary $PRX (-0,01 %) significant shares in, among others $700 (-1,62 %) , $DHER (-0,01 %) and $MMYT (-0,35 %) among others. It also has an extensive investment portfolio in South Africa. The corporate structure is well established (anyone interested in international corporate law or ways to successfully counter hostile takeovers should really take a look at it😅), but above all, in my view, the company holds predominantly strong investments and only invests very selectively in new investments. The shareholder return is excellent! Since direct investments in China and India are otherwise usually difficult or even impossible and I would rather entrust my money to a South African holding company that is over 100 years old than to major American banks (no hate, just healthy skepticism about ADRs and the like), my choice fell on Naspers.

Just this much about Chewy: in my view, a tempting entry valuation. Strong in the pet food market in the USA across all price segments, online trading, subscription model with a (again) significantly growing number of users. My Everyday pet supplement to $ZTS (-0,36 %) quasi.

Maybe also something for @Max095 😉.

My next post will certainly not follow until the end of the week (i.e. not until 2026😳) on my targeted increases in my existing portfolio values, so I wish you all a good start to the new year, stay healthy and active here or get yourself to become active, that can only bring us all forward here.

In the spirit of our dear @Tenbagger2024 it means #gemeinsammehrerreichen 😘

So see you at dahin✌🏻

Dear Community,

I would like to get some opinions/thoughts and experiences on $MMYT (-0,35 %) . So far, this company has hardly been discussed on getquin.

I have had the share on my watchlist for some time now and find it increasingly interesting as a small addition to my portfolio.

Brief introduction:

MakeMyTrip is a leading Indian travel service provider. The products that $MMYT (-0,35 %) offered go far beyond a normal travel company.

Its services include booking air, rail and bus tickets as well as national and international vacation packages and hotel reservations (including in the USA, for example). It also covers countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Peru, Colombia, Vietnam and Indonesia. The main competitors are Booking.com and Expedia.

Differences to Booking.com ($BKNG (+0,38 %) ) and Expedia ($EXPE (-0,51 %) ) :

$MMYT (-0,35 %) focuses mainly on Indian travelers with a focus on international travel and domestic travel. However, they also offer visa processing and travel insurance. Compared to $BKNG (+0,38 %) and $EXPE (-0,51 %) has $MMYT (-0,35 %) has a much smaller market share, as its core business is (still) mainly in India. However, I also see this fact as an opportunity, as India is known to have enormous economic growth.

About the data:

The turnover of $MMYT (-0,35 %) rose from USD 593 million to USD 782.5 million in the past financial year (2024). Profit increased from a loss of USD -11.3 million to a profit of USD 216.8 million. This is $MMYT (-0,35 %) profitable for the first time. $MMYT (-0,35 %) shows above-average growth and is financially secure, with a high growth rank and a low debt burden.

Now I would be interested: Are you perhaps already invested? Is the share interesting for you or not?

I'm looking forward to the exchange 👌
