Momentum strategy, being successful together.

Hello my dears,

What do you think of the idea that we might share our weekly winners once a week.

This way we discover all the stocks that are currently showing high momentum.

These might be suitable for a short-term trade.

But we might also discover a long-term investment.

Stocks that are just breaking out due to a story, good figures, new innovations, approvals, etc

And are perhaps not yet on the radar of the community.

What do you think of my idea?

Who's in and which day do you think makes sense?

Ok, I'll start straight away with 2 values that have doubled for me in the last few weeks. Even though today is not Wednesday.
These are $MP and $NBIS
The former is in a savings plan with a buy in of €24 and the latter with a one-off purchase on 15.05. at €30.
I will continue to add to the former with a savings plan. $NBIS I am considering setting a trailing SL.

I think it's a good idea, and regarding the concerns of @Sansebastian. Everyone can and must do their own research to see whether it is interesting for them to join.

@Multibagger
My dear fellow,
I see it the same way.
It just puts stocks on the radar that might just take off.
Here it's a matter of observing and researching.
I think this mechanism has to work itself out.
Perhaps we in the community can also evaluate and analyze the stocks mentioned.

@Tenbagger2024 In any case, we are not a sect (except for the $TSLA and $NOVO B disciples) 😂😂

I think that's good too :)

@Johannes1993 I'm just on my way home from Italy, I'll have to read it later 😂
@BamBamInvest Sounds like the vacation is over - so not good 😅🤣

@Johannes1993 was just a wedding and day trip to Venice 😂
Sounds like fun, except for the driving 😅
@BamBamInvest Sounds like fun, except for the endless driving 😅

@Johannes1993 absolutely, but I had to struggle with the physical after-effects during the trip 😁. But finally arrived 😊

@Johannes1993 Breakout above 55$ now we have a lot of room to the upside 💪

The problem is the definition of momentum, 1 week is probably too short.
You would have to look at 3-6 months and even then you would have to buy at least 20 stocks equally weighted so that individual companies distort the result too much.

@TotallyLost
Maybe after a month we can put the weekly stocks together and look at the stocks that were mentioned each week.

My momentum share would be
$GILT
over 20% in one week

Good idea! My winner of the week is definitely $AAPL (+13.07%). I've been using Dip the last few months to restock a little and lower my purchase price.

@aang and the loser of the week goes to $ADBE (-3.01%), this share currently only knows one direction...

Good idea, I'll throw $LMND, $BMNR and, since yesterday, $ELF back into the race. We could also (continue to) see strong momentum with all three ✌️

Nice idea yes, so you can possibly discover interesting stocks that you would otherwise not have on the screen. Among other things, it would be cool if getquin would not only show the daily trend in the portfolio but also the weekly trend, monthly trend etc...like Scalable, for example @Kundenservice

Here is my contribution: $9868 or $XPEV, also looks a bit like a cup-and-handle formation in the long term...

Of course I am also very happy to participate, there are really always stocks that are having a moment, no matter how the market is reacting (you know....🩸) So I am doing very well at the moment: $UCG; $PRY and $G1A.

For me it was $NBIS + 32% $APP +20% $LOTB +10%

@Semos25
Didn't you want to sell Lotus?
Imagen de perfil
@Tenbagger2024 Yes, I made a partial sale, unfortunately too early. It rose after the figures. I'm keeping the rest so that at least I don't have to sell into negative territory.

Only shares? My weekly winner with +28.75%: $ETH.

Suppose the market falls this week and the "winner" is up. Does that make it a winner? And why should it then have a high momentum?

@Sansebastian
Hello my dear,
We have already come to the realization that not every stock is immediately suitable for an entry on a weekly basis.
We will filter after 4-5 weeks and publish the stocks that appear each week.
However, this still does not mean that the shares are suitable for an investment
But we do recognize stocks with momentum.
There is usually something behind this.
And that's why it's often worth analyzing these stocks.
And our approach puts them on our radar.
Yes, I know, you can also do that very easily with a stock screener.
But I just liked the idea of using the community as a stock screener to exchange ideas and perhaps also involve the silent readers.
And to get to know each other.

My two weekly winners are $ALV with 6.4% and $MAIN with 5%. Both are also my absolute favorites and dividend pearls. Both are very highly weighted in my portfolio 🥳
