Last security sold

With that, $VWRL (+0,77 %) I sold my last security, and the rotation is $BTC (+0,16 %) is almost complete. I did the same thing back in September/October 2023, and it was the best decision :)

I only took moderate advantage of the best opportunity this year, but there’s nothing I can do about it now.

@Artiskon Well, hats off to you again!
How much do you have invested in Bitcoin right now?

Do you think in terms of scenarios?
- Best-case
- Base-case
- Worst-case

And can you live with your worst-case scenario?

@Wealth-Accelerator @Fynn-

My goal is to get back to 1 BTC by December 31.
I didn’t act decisively enough in June and July, so right now—at this very moment—I’d just barely miss that goal.

Next week, there will be more debates about Bitcoin taxation. If taxation doesn’t happen next year, then I’ll easily reach that goal next year—until then, I’m hoping for a 10% discount off the current price 😅 and will keep the money on the exchange for now and wait a little longer.

Currently, 36k is invested in Bitcoin, and 31k is sitting on the exchange—just to answer your questions :)

I don’t have any short-term scenarios in mind.
Most recently, in 2023, I bought one BTC with all available funds and sold off the majority of it last year at a good profit.
That was a huge boost for my finances:
- Paid off my student loan 3 years early
- Paid off my car loan 1 year early
- Some personal spending
- Paid for my wedding this year in cash
- I still have just under six figures in assets

That’s amazing—because I started out well in the red due to my student loan and, even back then, my car and consumer loans.
I didn’t start seeking financial education until my mid-30s.

Ideally—to get back to the scenarios—I’ll hold onto the BTC until retirement, which I plan to take well before age 67.
Will I bet on the cycles again in 2–3 years and sell a portion? We’ll see how big the dollar signs in my eyes get ^^

The worst-case scenario is a total loss—it won’t happen.
A Black Swan event, another 50–80% price drop, and—as @Epi
predicts—it’ll take about 10 years to get back to today’s levels: rough, but we’ll all have to go through it.

I’ll keep earning money, continue saving in Bitcoin anyway, and will also rebuild a stock portfolio. Even the longest crisis comes to an end, and if I stick with the “million-sat” strategy from @Wealth-Accelerator, things will rebound quickly ;)

Base case: in 10 years, I can buy a house with it

Best-case scenario: 5 million in 10 years—instant retirement ❤️

tl;dr
No meticulously planned strategy, but I own 1 out of 21 million BTC, and it’s going to take me a huge step forward financially. I’m convinced of that.

@Artiskon Thanks for the detailed answer.
I think what you’re doing is extremely bold. It would be too extreme for me. What really gives me a stomachache when I look at your current allocation is that there are no productive assets in it.
It’s unimaginable to me to be positioned that way. But I also hold both Bitcoin (a good quarter of my portfolio) and gold, because I believe both will continue to perform well and benefit my overall allocation and volatility. And I can imagine that you could have great success with this. But in my eyes, the risk you’re taking is incalculable 😊 Still, of course I’d love to have 1 BTC, too. But it’s too expensive for me 😂

You mention that you’re going to rebuild a stock portfolio. I think that’s important and a good move! I think it’s extreme to completely avoid stocks right now.

And betting on my “million-satellites” is an exciting idea. But even here, I wouldn’t recommend anyone use more than one satellite. In my view, trend-following strategies offer exciting potential, but they can also lead to near-total losses (or drops of >75%). So far, no one has really addressed my concerns about trend-following as a core investment 😉

I hope you at least hit your base case. Hopefully even more 💪🏼

But watch your money 😉😘

@Wealth-Accelerator @Artiskon
I find this approach intriguing. The historical cycles point in Artiskon’s favor. In fact, over the past month I’ve built up an 8% crypto exposure in addition to $VWCE, and I’m considering expanding that position further. Crypto currently seems to offer a good risk-to-potential ratio to me. Plus, it could be tax-advantageous if the crypto tax only applies to new purchases or if the holding period requirement is eliminated for purchases made on or after January 1.

On the other hand, building wealth is a marathon, and it takes some serious guts to go for such a high exposure like yours 😄

I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk to me.

@Artiskon I was hoping you'd come up with a strategy we could use as a guide 😂

@Fynn- I already do—I buy as much $BTC as I can 😅🚀

I've already lost enough money on altcoins and hype crap. I'm sticking to Bitcoin-only in that area.

I also sold off about 11k in ETFs yesterday and am going to shift my investments into BTC. Good luck!

Have you written a post about the strategy behind this? (I couldn't find one.)

If not, could you briefly explain it to me?
I'd also be interested to know how much capital we're talking about in total. :)
Thanks in advance.
