Hey I'm thinking about investing in cannabis stocks. Right now I'm looking at four different stocks that are American but also based here in Germany, according to my information. With legalization/decriminalization coming soon in Germany, there is a lot of potential in this stock area. Does anyone know anything about this area and can tell me if I am right with these stocks or if there are better options?

My watch list:

$WEED , $TLRY (-3,65 %) , $ACB , $CBSX

No davon🤷‍♂️ I am not familiar with all of these companies, but I have been very familiar with cannabis for years. If you can produce cannabis yourself as a private individual with a 90% margin, what are the companies supposed to do better?

Legalization in Germany will not make much difference internationally. In addition, cannabis is quite easy to care for, so growing it at home would be cheaper (if that were to be taken into account in legalization, I don't know at the moment). The hype has led to overproduction. Many of the companies are sitting on huge stocks and demand is too low.

What no one can really explain to me yet - why should I buy cannabis from a company when my dealer around the corner sells it cheaper? On the other hand, there are so many cannabis companies that there is already an absolute surplus of supply, even if more is legalized in the future.

I find companies that would benefit from all this more interesting. I share the opinion that the pure business is too crowded. But what about manufacturers of tests for drivers, for example, or storage containers or paper for rolling ... I can think of many things. It's just a thought experiment, of course. For me, this is not an investment but rather desperation on the part of the government.

Fundamentally and technically, I would look at the following stocks if I were you: Tilray, Canopy Growth and Organigram. Possibly also Curaleaf. ✌🏻

I can understand some of the counter-arguments that have been mentioned here and they are definitely justified. That's why I would rather look at @Palmo at companies that produce medical cannabis, for example, not in Germany but worldwide if possible. Many patients (not consumers😂) need it all the time for pain etc. Cannabis stocks are just as volatile as the crypto sector, you should be aware of that! It's a risky investment. Just do your homework and don't listen to anyone else, not even me!😂🤣 Good Luck🍀

@DollarDon It's mainly about the new legal market, which doesn't include private cultivation 😅 But I understand what you mean🚀
None of them. Had cannabis shares myself. You won't be happy with it
