Building up my position
Daily JournalUS2339121046DJCODJCO
What is your investing goal? The most important question you should ask yourself with investing is what are my goals with investing. Why am I doing this? If you know the answers to these questions you know what steps you should take in order to reach your goals and find the investment strategy and investment vehicles for you.
My goal is financial freedom and I would love to reach that one day and do whatever I want. Don't get me wrong, I like my day to day job in infrastructure but I would love to just take on projects which I like and be in such a financial position that I can say no to projects I don't like.
To reach that as soon as possible I'm saving as much as 60% of my monthly income and trying to invest 40% of that every month. I have a watchlist of 5 stocks ($BABA (+4.21%), $PRX (+4.59%), $VZ (-0.4%), $DJCO (+1.79%), $BRK.B (-0.11%)) and at the moment and I'm putting my money in these stocks if the prices are right for my goals. In the meantime I'm trying to increase my income via my job and sidehustles.
Charlie Munger steps down as chairman at $DJCO (+1.79%) but remains at the board of the business and he stays responsible for the equity portfolio.
