Today there were dividends again from Apple Hospitality REIT $APLE (-0.36%) - and it's moments like this that show why I invest for the long term. 🍎🏨

Apple REIT is a hotel REIT that invests in strong brands such as Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt. This means: income from a solid, crisis-resistant portfolio - and regular distributions for me as a shareholder. 📈💰

For me, every dividend payment is like a little proof that my money is working for me while I sleep. And if you consistently reinvest these payments, small amounts turn into a really strong cash flow over the years.

Today I bought 90 shares of $APLE (-0.36%) today. This is a monthly payer with a current dividend yield of around 8%.

My focus is currently on cash flow. Every dividend payday motivates me and it feels good. Even if share prices stagnate or fall, the investment continues to work.

What do you think of the share and of monthly payers in general?

Why the decision: I already have shares in $O (+1.24%) in my portfolio and it is one of the larger positions. I would like to expand this theme further, also outside the USA with $REI.UN (+0.03%) .

Do you have any suggestions from outside the USA?

Last new addition for January. Looks promising to me and continue to increase my dividends :D
