Aker Horizons ASA is an industrial holding company, which engages in the business of incubating and investing in companies within green energy and green industry. It operates through the following segments: Aker Carbon Capture (ACC), Asset Development (AAD), Mainstream Renewable Power (Mainstream), Aker Horizons and Holdings, and Other. The ACC segment focuses on serving a range of industries with carbon emissions including cement, bio and waste-to-energy, gas-to-power, and blue hydrogen segments. The Other segment includes investments in SuperNode, a global technology development company that designs and delivers superconducting systems to connect renewable generation and increase grid interconnection in mature markets. The company was founded on November 1, 2020 and is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway.
