𝚄𝚗𝚒𝚝𝙿𝚕𝚞𝚜 - 𝙻ö𝚜𝚞𝚗𝚐 𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚑𝚝 𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚖
Once again, a new fintech launched this week. However, the question I have is who should be the target audience for the product and what problem is being solved by the offering. UnitPlus offers a debit card, which is virtually linked to a Robo Advisor. Clicking a little through the FAQ I do not get any smarter. The current account is not to be replaced. A deposit transfer is not possible and it can only be selected from four pre-selected portfolios, so from my point of view also no broker. With the costs of 2€ basic fee per month plus 0.7% on the deposit volume you end up in similar areas as about common Robo Advisor.
Technically, the background processing is certainly interesting, as the fractional shares are also cleared outside trading hours. With the card you can dispose of 70% of the portfolio or max. 2,000€, so that no more is spent than is to be liquidated afterwards in the portfolio.
The cashback rate of the UnitPlus card of 0.1% is rather negligible.
In sum, I have to say I understand the product, but I don't understand who needs it. As an all in one solution with linked giro I could see it for people who don't want more than one financial provider or people who don't care about their money on principle. But anyone who spends more than 5 minutes on their finances will get a card with more cashback and at least a normal robo advisor or even their own custody account.
UnitPlus is available for iOS since Thursday and currently you get the basic fee waived for 3 months, as well as 10€ starting credit. If you think of a target group for UnitPlus, let me know in the comments.
Addendum: Thanks @RoronoaZoro for the hint that there seem to be already Inflencer actions for the stuff. My attitude to the service should be clear, so there was no link here from the beginning.
