New BDC wanted 👀 - Ares, Hercules or an insider tip after all?

I plan to further expand my portfolio in the BDC area 📈

My position in Blue Owl Capital $OBDC (+1.76%) is currently fully built up, so no further purchases are planned for the time being.

Main Street Capital $MAIN (+0.71%) remains on my watch list, however, and I will continue to add to the position below €50.

At the same time, I am looking for one or two more BDCs in order to improve diversification in the income sector. The focus remains on stable cash flows, solid balance sheets and sustainable dividends.

My current favorites would be Ares Capital $ARCC (+1.27%) and Hercules Capital $HTGC (+1.44%) 👀

What do you think of these two stocks or would you have any interesting alternatives? 📊

$TSLX ?

Mainsteet can't get down from its high rating 😅🤔

Ares as well as Hercules actually had good figures and the quarterly figures are fresh .

@Asgard19 What do you like about $TSLX?

@AktienRob88 Stable income and special distributions

$TRIN or $CSWC?
Trin is the little Hercules, so to speak.

@WarrenamBuffet thank you, both very interesting, do you have a favorite?
••
@AktienRob88 Trinity 16% above NAV, CSWC 36% above NAV. I am invested in Trinity.

@AktienRob88 phew difficult. Trinity is currently a little cheaper. But Capital southwest is more defensive and more stable. I have both.

Over the last few weeks, I have successively invested in $ARCC. Thanks to their size and positioning in the market and their affiliation with $ARES, they are in a robust position to generate stable income and thus predictable cash flow

@Dividendenopi thanks for your input, I will also open my first position here in the next few days, I would look forward to prices below €16 again

@AktienRob88 I don't 😇, it's best to go straight in and then 🚀😉😂

@AktienRob88 then you're already further ahead than me in case it picks up. My first tranche was at 17 in the fall, now the position is full with EK 16.68

@Dividenden_Dompteur Dividend fluctuates wildly .

But this is more of an investment company? Bdc's usually give loans.

I haven't really looked into it yet
••

@Asgard19 is also a BDC, the fluctuation in dividends is due to the special dividends. The basic dividend is constant.
••

The question is whether shares will fall due to falling interest rates and the difficult environment.
••
profile image
@Asgard19 I don't think it will go much further down, and then the prices will go sideways for the time being
••
profile image
@Asgard19 On the one hand, yes, and on the other, due to possible dividend cuts, as we have just seen at $GBDC.

@Asgard19 Falling interest rates would in any case put pressure on margins for the time being, although I think that a large part is already priced in so as not to be surprised by sharp setbacks. The economic environment in the USA is - astonishingly - robust, but of course we must always keep an eye on it

@AktienRob88 I think the stock market answered the question itself today 😅😂

@Asgard19 just bought the first position from $HTGC, of course after the dip of -7% 😂
••
profile image
@AktienRob88 As I said, I still see a lot that could push prices down by 10-20%.

Buy Trachen if you want to get in, otherwise be careful, even if the dividend is attractive.
