What alternatives to call money?

Hello everyone,

I am currently building up some cash as a liquidity reserve. I use TradeRepublic and am currently still enjoying 2% overnight interest. However, I wanted to ask if there are more lucrative alternatives or what you do with cash that can be accessed at any time?

One possibility is to invest in $XEON (+0.05%) Xtrackers Euro Overnight Rate Swap EUR (Acc). What ideas do you have?

@Ayecaramba256 In your experience, do you get more return than a simple money market fund?

Especially as Unit Plus is not free of charge, as far as I know.

@Staatsmann I have my nest egg there and use a product that invests in bonds. Low fluctuation and around 3% return + you can pay with it at any time. For me, it's the best solution on the market

$XEON is the ideal solution for me.

Only makes sense if you can get over the deposit protection. With the ETF you are at the daily allowance level. You may also have to pay fees - at least the spread
BBVA current account 3% for currently 6 months.
Umweltbank 3% for 3 months.
XEON does not currently yield more than TR as @Tuffbet already wrote.
My custody account has to generate the return for me. Call money, money market ... nice gimmick, but after inflation & taxes a "loss-making business".
Whether I receive €100 or €150 interest p.a., the bureaucratic effort is no longer worth it to me.

For me, my liquidity must be available at all times at no cost. I see money market ETFs as a solution if you have a LOT of cash and need it in the short term (only in a few months).

Of course, it also depends on the amount of cash you have.

$CSH2 yields slightly more than the deposit interest rate or $XEON.
