I've done a bit of reading and it will probably take years. I didn't know that before either, so I'm now parting with my two Italians $PST (-1.51%) and $ENEL (-2.27%) . Ciao Ciao. It was nice and about 20% profit each, but as I am otherwise annoyed every year about the partial loss of the dividend, unfortunately you have to go. I originally bought them for their good prospects PLUS dividends. I'd rather put the money 50/50 into Dividend Core and a bit more growth.
Who of you has had experience with Italian withholding tax refunds? Is my decision right because it's a bureaucracy monster or are there also positive experiences?
Cheerio!
