Dividends

Hi there,

What do you think of dividend etfs?

Would you say that they work better than shares? There are even ETFs that offer monthly payouts.

Although they include stocks that don't pay out monthly 😱

For example, there is the ETF $JEGP (-0.58%)

$SPHD

Why forego growth?

@SemiGrowth you do not, e.g. with the $FGEQ

@Max095 Since mid-2017 you would have made 150% even with a boring world (the $FGEQ 82% with 2% dividend is then perhaps 110%)
So you left 40% behind. So yes, you did

It depends on what you want. If you want monthly cash flow then yes, if you want growth then no. (Accumulating etfs always perform better than their distributing brothers)
Dividends mean that the company/companies don't know what to do with all the money, so they are forced to give away part (e.g. half) of the profits. I like companies more that are still growing and need the money themselves.
