Moin Moin,

Are there any of you who happen to invest in silver?

If so, I have a question for you.

I'm currently thinking about investing in silver, but I'm not quite sure which position would be "best".

Which silver position are you investing in?

As I have my portfolio with Trade Republic, I am considering either investing in $PHAG (+0.46%) or in $SSLN (-0.04%) . If you invest in silver, which position would you invest in?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

@Epi Great store, I used to order there all the time.
@Epi Fineness: 625/1000, hence the supposedly low price. Silver is usually only available to buy at a much higher premium than gold, for example

@Billygeen Sure, but the price is calculated per troy ounce.

How is it with investing in coins, when I see the buy/sell prices, the coin has to gain a lot in value to be able to sell without a loss.

@Hodl4Retirement It often looks like that. However, if the purchase is cheap, you want to hold the coins for decades or something else, this is put into perspective. Otherwise just take a certificate or ETC. 🤷

I have the silver ETC from WisdomTree, which is easy to trade and directly linked to the price.

@Goldfinger1977 I have now invested in $SSLN and things are actually going very well so far.
I am currently invested in $EDR and not in the general silver price. I think that small producers have a significant catch-up potential compared to their ATH and will rise faster than the silver price in the near future

I hold silver exclusively as coins (e.g. American Eagle and Maple Leaf) bought directly from Degussa in a branch.
I have lots of Koalas, Kookaburras and parts of the Lunar 2 series, 10 ounces each and Maple Leaf 1 ounce. But I haven't bought anything for a few years now.
