Second time in

Construction in Ukraine, generally a clear investment backlog in the housing market and in my area in particular I simply can no longer avoid Sika products.

Probably one of the best brands in terms of quality, especially in the flooring sector, plus good strategic acquisitions.

Sika Flex, the stuff can withstand a nuclear strike

@Dividenden_Monteur and the atomic bomb holds together with Sikabond

I've been thinking about it for a while, but for some reason it feels strange to invest in the company where you work...

@GuenDolf Is there no share program for employees?
profile image
@Dividendenopi Unfortunately not 😕 only for senior managers as part of their bonus
3
profile image
@GuenDolf Are you directly with Sika?
profile image
@Hotte1909 Not directly, but at the PCI in development, but the boundaries are sometimes quite blurred
profile image
@GuenDolf oh cool. We used to have PCI floor fillers, but our line was more or less wiped out and handed over to Thomsit
profile image
@Hotte1909 If you are just as happy or happier with Thomsit than with PCI, everything is great 😊 we are one company after all
profile image
@GuenDolf Yes, everything is fine. You have to work with what the industry supplies 😉

Thanks for the share, I didn't know that yet. Interesting train of thought. I have put it on my watch list.

What is sikas moat?
1
profile image
@G-Affiliates There are of course other manufacturers, but the products from Sika are just great to work with. They don't have a real moat. But they do have a technological edge

If it goes down a good bit, I'll be there too.

I worked with them in Zurich in 2006. But not construction but PU and epoxy
1
profile image
@Smudeo I still use the epoxy products today for garage coating and parking garages and things like that 😉
1
profile image
@Hotte1909 Have you ever been to the company in Zurich?
profile image
@Smudeo no, unfortunately not yet. I don't think I lose enough weight for that 😉
1
profile image
@Hotte1909 was there 3 times as a supplier, customer and trainer. The nightlife is fun and expensive by our standards (Sau) @SAUgut77
profile image
@Smudeo every now and then thomsit visits our wholesalers, who are also very generous
P/E ratio is also strong for such a company

Everyone who has a little interest in handicrafts actually knows this stuff.

good luck, have been keeping an eye on the value for a long time
fundamentally top
but chart analysis would also interest me? do you have an opinion on this?
profile image
@Memo0606 the chart is horrible 😉 although the figures are actually quite ok.
profile image
@Hotte1909 isn't it currently due to the support?
profile image
@Hotte1909 and then why are you buying? for me, both have to fit, e.g. chart and fundamental
profile image
@Memo0606 because I have time and don't trade them. The investment period for sika is about 15 years and it is the first tranche. The planned size is approx. 25k

Sika, top quality! We also use it at work... and even approved in the food sector!!!
Often have components that are not completely welded, a proper sika seam, also holds...😅
profile image
On an annual basis -30% one should take into account that Sika also has a considerable share in the weakening automotive industry. Apart from that, I also think they have great products
profile image
The company and the products are strong. However, the share price is still too expensive for my taste. There is no margin of safety here, and if they deviate even very slightly from expectations, you are immediately dragged down with them.

So dear Patrick, buckle up... 🎢
profile image
@TechNav am strapped in. Target size is 25k invest.
profile image
I also think a purchase under 200 is certainly good in the long term :)
