What's going on with Linde?

I have been invested in $LIN (+0.94%) and have now returned to my entry price after a rapid rise. Is there a reasonable explanation as to why it has gone down so much in recent months? Actually, sales and profits have been rising steadily.

Tomorrow there'll be earnings... that might get them out of the trend again... every share bobbles from time to time. Even supposed long-term runners like Linde. But I don't have an explanation either.

Somehow I have noticed that some quality stocks and long-runners have been consolidating for a very long time.
Such as $CTAS cintas.
$UFPT ufp technology
$TTEK etc. It would be interesting to find out why this is the case. It kind of started when Trump became president

I have no explanation either. But I sold at the high because I was not convinced of a new ATH. As things stand now, I did everything right

Sold Linde today and put it in Amazon Option. The plan seemed right 😅 I needed money for my OS and then I saw the bad Linde with little dividend and then it had to go...

I look at the figures and then decide whether to remove them from my portfolio
Psyche. And stock market psychos aka analysts are the reason. Fundamentally and in terms of market penetration worldwide with an irreplaceable global must-have product: an absolute no-brainer for long-term investors.
$LIN has only known one direction for 40 years: upwards.
What is happening now YTD: Is an oscillation in an otherwise straight line.
