Since the "General Answer" category does not exist here is a "General Question": @SharkAce Has asked me for some guidance on how to basically $ADA (+0.61%) staking - especially regarding the launch of the SundaeSwap Beta tomorrow, where you can grab additional rewards in the form of Sundae Tokens - for now you can find more about it here: https://sundaeswap.finance/posts/wen-sundae.

So: how did I get my ADA into staking? The way described below is certainly not the only way. But since I want to keep my ADA on my ledger ("Not your keys, not your coins") and use the official ADA wallet (Yoroi), this is my way:

Requirements:

- Ledger Nano S or X

- Browser Wallet - I use the Yoroi Wallet as a browser extension as already mentioned.

Instructions:

1. to get the whole thing working, the first step is to install the Cardano ADA app via Ledger Live on the Legder Nano.

In the following it is important that the Ledger Live app is closed.

2. I connect my Ledger to the Cardano Blockchain via the Yoroi Wallet. I use the Edge browser for this, but it also works with Firefox or Chrome. Installs the Yoroi Wallet Browser Extension via https://yoroi-wallet.com/ and then connects the Yoroi browser application to the ledger.

3. to stake ADA you need ADA tokens on the wallet - for this you can find the tab "Receive" in the Yoroi Wallet and copy the wallet address to send the ADA to the wallet e.g. from Coinbase. This usually takes 1-2 minutes until the tokens arrive in the wallet (10 network confirmations) - network fee is about 0.2 ADA.

Once the ADAs have arrived in the wallet, the next step is to select the staking pool - to do this, select the "Delegation List" tab and the list of available staking pools will be displayed, sorted by score. After selecting and clicking on "DELEGATE" you have to confirm the transaction on the ledger according to the display in the browser and after a few clicks you are done.

>> Note about SundaeSwap ISO: If you want to participate in the SundaeSwap ISO and receive Sundae tokens, you have to choose a Staking Pool Provider, which was selected as ISO Scooper during the pre-selection of the community.

The list of providers can be found here: https://sundaeswap.finance/posts/meet-your-sundaeswap-scoopers

The first rewards will arrive after a few weeks - the graphic here shows very well how the corresponding snapshots are taken and the corresponding payout is made - and why the first payout takes a few weeks: https://static.cryptobriefing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/02092931/delegation.png

Super cool explanation <3 Is Staking generally worthwhile or only from a certain amount of AdA?

@boersen_student Rewards are always a percentage of the ADA you put in. The more you put in, the better.
profile image
@CryptoPfand Ok. Is there any difference in the "pools"?
profile image
@CryptoPfand And the costs mean I pay 340 ADA + x percent?
profile image
@boersen_student Or does staking cost nothing extra?

@boersen_student Staking costs: - one-time staking fee (at 100 ADA approx. 2.4%) - Tax (between 0 and 4% of the reward) - Fixed fee to the pool operator per cycle everything is shown when choosing the provider
profile image
@CryptoPfand Every cycle 340 ADA as a fixed fee?
profile image
@boersen_student the 340 are paid by the whole pool
profile image
@CryptoPfand ah ok - thought so :D And is there any difference in the pools? The bigger the better?
profile image
@boersen_student The more successful the better. The Staking Pool overview sorts according to "Score", which results from different parameters (ROA, Share/Pool Size, Costs, Pledge, Minted Blocks).

@CryptoPfand Thanks for the help :) In which pook do you stack for the SundaeSwap rewards?
