Good morning,

I had Steico on my watchlist for years now. Entry price as at the rate in 2020. I am at $ST5 (-2.12%) also ready to accept another lean period, due to the interest rate policy and the current prevailing market situation.

In case of further drop also re-buys.😊

Top products / portfolio.

I have it on my watch list. Just do not really understand why the supposedly undervalued. I think construction is the last thing to invest in at the moment.

@KleinviehmachtMist absolutely right. That's why we're currently in a dry spell. Looking to the future, there will be more construction. Real estate prices are already falling slightly.

@KleinviehmachtMist Um, for example, because of the expensive interest rate environment, construction, for example, is being unfairly punished right now (this is, after all, the classic credit-financed area). Maybe there will be an interest rate increase of 0.25%, maybe not. The investments, i.e. revenues for the construction companies, are merely postponed, not cancelled, which is why I believe that stable companies such as Steico may be worth getting into now. In the long run for sure.

When I look at the chart, I don't see any silver lining at the moment. So, if I am to invest in this share, then I should do so when positive news comes and a trend reversal becomes visible. N.m.M.

@Himu Really? Ran sideways until the profit warning for months. I've seen worse😉 If you're waiting for exclusively official positive news, then quite a bit of time has already passed.

Welcome to the good side. 🪵 📈

@InvestmentPapa At some point, you have to realize when an investment goes wrong....krank... to just stay in it or even buy more.

@port01_andy At some point you have to understand that your opinion is so absolutely completely indifferent to me, right? 😉

I don't know, but since about the middle of 2021 it has only been going steeply downwards, with small consolidations. It is one of the biggest trader fallacies to think you have to catch the bottom. If the share turns, a resilient bottom has formed, it is still early enough for an entry. Until then, you can save yourself a lot of frustration.

@Himu The share has been moving sideways for a year. I have gratefully accepted the profit warning. No one will reach the TP or HP but for me a great entry point. Frustration I had in my past little
Why do you buy a weak stock? Burnt yield.

@El_Riemo I do not understand the question. What is weak? The share price or the company itself? Because sales and profits are currently not meeting expectations? Please explain your "burnt" return. Do you only buy at the peak like many others here? How do you generate returns, only when the price is rising and the news is good?
@Wellenreiter "Entry prices like 2020" - this alone shows that the share is not strong and therefore not worth buying. Keyword: opportunity costs.
profile image
@El_Riemo aha, great example Tesla. How did the share price develop here? I bought in February at the price of 2020. What do you say about the Nvidia share price? Opportunity costs, honestly. So you have a crystal ball?
@Wellenreiter No, Tesla is a very bad example. Because it is driven by hypes and emotionally charged. What criteria do you use to buy stocks? Do you do a technical analysis? Or do you just buy because it's cheap, which is nonsense.
profile image
@El_Riemo Do you want me to find you more examples? Opportunity costs are complete nonsense. Take a look at my site. Have already made a few ideas😉 zb $III and $MUM comes to mind spontaneously. If you could read, you would already know from this post here that I do not just buy because cheap. So tell me now rather times something well-founded to Steico which is not known to me
@Wellenreiter something you don't know about Steico...hm ok. Apparently you don't know that the stock is in an active downtrend without forming a bottom. Therefore totally uninteresting for an investment. Has made 68% since 2007 and 20% in the last 5 years. What kind of poor performance is that please?

@El_Riemo I was thinking of info on Steico's business, portfolio etc. Great brief consideration with what info?. have a nice sunny Sunday dir🌞
@Wellenreiter Boy, what do I care? The trend sets the direction. If it's only been going sideways / only downwards / hardly any return for years, then I don't even need to look at the business and the model...because it's not interesting.

@El_Riemo then thank you for your input "boy
