Base consumption comeback?

As many companies in the consumer staples sector are currently rising well again, I wonder whether this is already a sustainable recovery or whether it will go down again.

I have been on the stock market for 5 years & I have found that they always perform well in turbulent times. This is not an analysis, but how I got to know the feed stocks, so I only buy anti-cyclically, which I did in the summer. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of upside potential for most of them.

What I find most charming and what I like best is the classification of $RI as basic consumption. After all, people always get drunk and probably even more so in bad times to lift their spirits.😂

Oh, I'd be careful about that. All the liquor stores - whether hard stuff, wine or beer - have huge stocks. The general trend is towards less alcohol consumption. And that's not going to reverse. I don't think so.

I see more of a valuation bubble emerging in consumer staples. If shares there are valued higher than Nvidia in some cases, then the P/E ratio does not match the expected growth. See the astronomical valuation of Walmart, with single-digit growth. But in my opinion, P&G and CocaCola etc. are also overvalued for single-digit growth.
