Everyone has a mobile phone number why have another one? Not only do phone numbers stay the same for years, they are often known to a large circle of people or service providers. I won't ramble on at length about reasons and probabilities here. See, for example, [1-5] or the video.

If you want to get a permanently free phone number: netzclub.net costs nothing and you don't have to do any recharges in contrast to normal prepaid sim cards. But Netzclub sends advertising to the phone number / email.

I don't know of any providers that require a landline number, but if you need one: sipgate. There is a free local number with sipgate basic.

Tip for the registration at netzclub no account to specify, but recharge by recharge code. There is no need to enter a code and you do not have to enter account data.

If netzclub should go down the drain, the phone number is not gone. You can port your number to any provider at a later date. The costs for this are capped at €6.82 by law.

If you see a smartphone as an attack vector, you can put the SIM in an old prehistoric phone that is probably somewhere in the family anyway. Put it in the drawer at your desk and you're done.

I have a lot of spam calls now, but I don't want to change my number. Good tip for the future and all those for whom it is not yet too late

Sipgate is really cool. A former colleague went there. They really understood Work 4.0. Compared to my old job, what he told me there was like a paid vacation.
