Lieferando owner sells stake in iFood

The largest food delivery company in Europe, Just Eat. Takeaway.com, is selling its 33 percent stake in Brazilian company iFood to technology investor Prosus for 1.8 billion euros. According to the Dutch company, the purchase of iFood is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

According to the statement, Prosus will acquire iFood's shares for 1.5 billion euros in cash and additional consideration of up to 300 million euros. The bank has lost the first criminal case in Switzerland against Credit Suisse. The institution was found guilty of money laundering by the Federal Criminal Court on Monday. The court fined Credit Suisse two million francs for internal organizational shortcomings.

The bank immediately said it would appeal. The investigation dates back 14 years. In the meantime, Credit Suisse has tightened its anti-money laundering measures.

Judges had to assess whether the bank and a former employee had taken sufficient steps to prevent suspected Bulgarian cocaine trafficking gangs from laundering money between 2004 and 2008. The former customer service representative received a 20-month prison sentence and a fine.
