Lieferando owner sells stake in iFood

The largest food delivery company in Europe, Just Eat. Takeaway.com, is selling its 33 percent stake in Brazilian company iFood to technology investor Prosus for 1.8 billion euros. According to the Dutch company, the purchase of iFood is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

According to the statement, Prosus will acquire iFood's shares for 1.5 billion euros in cash and additional consideration of up to 300 million euros. According to the company, the price is higher than the market value of competitor Deliveroo and represents about half of Takeaway's market capitalization.
