Did the most scared thing ever with my money… but also the most exciting. I’ll (hopefully) thank myself for someday! 💸

While the first 33K is invested now, I’m just waiting for a ‘good’ moment to jump into Bitcoin for 45% of my portfolio.

ETF Portfolio Thoughts:

I am going to build an ETF portfolio. And I have my eye on these in about the order weighting. Something like 40,30,10,10,10. I am starting late in my invetment journey - now 53. I first tried to go directly into shares, but that is taking too much time to look into and track. And with my work and family situation I would like to set up a divierse range of etf with the potential of upside that i buy to hold. I am looking for an annualized return of 10% over the next 10 years. And these seem to work for me in terms of cost of etf, global, Value, small coverage, and a bit of ESG.

Too much risk? Too much overlap? Not the right balance? Not the right ones?! Any thoughts or observations welcome.

thanks @Luffy3D2Y . I have been informing myself a bit. I started buying shares directly but that really just takes up too much time to be informed that I don't have. A good learning. Now I want to get into something that is less time and have looked into a range of etfs though JustETF - good site - and come up with these. Any thoughts on balance or risk. Most welcome. PS nobody really KNOWS what they are doing in this crazy game!

Month change in the GTAA model:

June performance: +2.8%

Hold: Nasdaq 100 (rank 1)

Buy: EMU Smallcaps (2nd place)

Sell: Gold (-3.1%)

Buy: Bitcoin

New breakdown in July:

Nasdaq 100: 26%

EMU SC: 37%

BTC: 22%

Cash: 15% (for post-buy Nasdaq 100)

Note: Unfortunately, the chart display here in the app doesn't handle the shifts at all. Again and again there are erratic jumps and breaks, where the corresponding chart on Traderepublic remains quite smooth. Manual input leads to even larger jumps. Too bad.

Rebalancing in the GTAA portfolio at the turn of the month. Nasdaq100 now has the strongest momentum.

Sell: EMU Smallcaps.

New allocation:

40% Nasdaq100 $UST (+1.51%)

40% EuroGovBondsShort $DXSV (+0.05%)

15% Bitcoin $BTC (+0.73%)

5% Cash at TR for 2% p. a. (for post-purchase Bitcoin)

Edit: Now it has happened after all. The order of the weighted momentum has shifted massively again within one day because of the strong rises at the end of last week. $DXSV (+0.05%) thus slipped from 2nd place well behind before the turn of the month. $MMS (+1.33%) . So what to do? I finally decided to correct the mistake, bite the bullet, pay the 10€ and switch into the $CSEMUS (+0.3%) with the significantly lower spread.

I see I still need to work further on the implementation of GTAA.

With contributions to GTAA (or corresponding investments) you clearly stand out from the mainstream here at getquin, @Epi. I also remember (at least) one post on the Shiller-KGV. Against this background my question to you: have you ever dealt with $216361? Specifically, I'd be interested in your opinion on it...and of course anyone else reading along at this point.
