Realty Income, Walmart and what is AT&T doing there? ⤵️

There was a lot in the market yesterday. But what exactly? At 10 o'clock yesterday there was the speech to the nation by Vladimir Putin. I will not comment further, this is the wrong place. The stock market has once briefly twitched, but was able to catch again quite quickly after the speech. But the geo-political situation, makes just many concern.

There were very many consumer figures yesterday and also quarterly figures. Here again a brief review of the most important:

Beat analyst estimates of $0.32 in the fourth quarter with earnings per share of $1.00. Revenue of $888.7 million beat expectations of $843.31 million.

Coinbase Global:

Beat analyst estimates of -$2.51 in the fourth quarter with earnings per share of -$2.46. Revenue of $629.1 million exceeded expectations of $588.17 million.

The Home Depot Inc:

Beat analyst estimates of $3.28 in fourth-quarter earnings per share of $3.30. Revenue of $35.8 billion below expectations of $35.96 billion.

Walmart Inc:

Beat analyst estimates of $1.52 with fourth-quarter earnings per share of $1.71. Revenue of $164 billion beat expectations of $159.77 billion. In its fiscal 2023/2024 outlook, the company expects earnings per share of $5.90 to $6.05 (analyst forecast: $6.51).

Caesars Entertainment:

Missed analyst estimates of $0.19 in fourth-quarter earnings per share of -$0.70. Revenue of $2.8 billion in line with expectations.

Fresenius:

Expects low to mid-single-digit organic growth in Group sales for fiscal 2023. Currency-adjusted Group EBIT before special items is expected to remain roughly stable or decline by up to a high single-digit percentage due to the challenging business environment at Fresenius Medical Care. In 2022, FMC achieved sales of 19.4 billion euros (previous year: 17.6 billion) and a profit of 673 million (previous year: 969 million). In the fourth quarter, these figures were 4.99 billion and 139 million, respectively.

Palo Alto Networks:

Beats analyst estimates of $0.78 in second quarter with earnings per share of $1.05. Revenues of $1.7 billion beat expectations of $1.65 billion.

What else happened. $T AT&T may be looking to sell its own cyber security business, Reuters writes. For me, this remains a market that will and must receive a lot of attention in the coming years. Due to the high level of digitalization, everyone is already noticing that it is no longer possible to operate without security!
