"Where should I put the money I've saved? Maybe into a pot that will keep it safe. "

4k Xmas money here! What do you think is the best way to invest the money?

1. invest in the MSCI World (approx. 40% of PF currently) $IWDA (-0.22%)

2. buy Bitcoin (23% of the current PF) $BTC (-0.04%)

3.continue to add to Euwax Gold (~1% of PF currently) $EWG2 (+0.38%)

3. wait and see and wait for a good entry at 1, 2, 3, (I know statistically at 1. always all in immediately is best).

4. special repayment for the mortgage (2.01% interest, 7 years remaining)

I'm looking forward to your opinions.

Definitely not 4. 😉
Inflation is higher than 2%, that's free money.

@Epi Rationally speaking, you're right, of course. I would still put half in there, no debt is good debt.

Special repayment is also not a real option. But I wanted to bring it up. And like EVERY time. Someone comes along who says no debt is good debt or for a "good feeling" I pay back good debt. If I could borrow as much as I want for 2% right now, I would do it immediately and put it in fixed-term deposits/government bonds etc. for 4-6% - money printer on :-)

Save 50% for 1st and 50% for a good start.

I would not make an unscheduled repayment at 2%

I would tend towards 1) and 3).
Somehow "determine" a ratio that suits you and get on with it.

The €4,000 is probably only a fraction of the total portfolio anyway, so it makes no difference 😅

Doesn't matter. None of the investments will change anything in the long term. So head out and in or consumption :)

Well, all the amounts invested will be so high that 4k will only make a difference in the per mille range. So it makes less and less sense to rack your brains.
So my solution would be to invest in 1. and 2. depending on the planned asset allocation.

@byebyebayern well 4k with ~200k deposit is 2% to be allocated. 🧐
