Investment Decision

Good evening everyone, a small question from me today.

I am considering investing in renewable energies and corresponding utilities.

It doesn't have to be a dividend, as I tend to focus on growth.

About the companies in the current selection:

$ECV

Operation, construction and management of solar parks and wind farms.

Primarily within the EU and Great Britain.

Head office is in Germany.

A location in the EU would give the company an advantage with the current strong expansion and corresponding subsidies.

On the other hand, expansion in the EU is sometimes extremely slow and bureaucracy takes care of the rest.

$IBE

Spain is a major supplier and is active in the operation, management and construction of corresponding infrastructure as well as the distribution and production of energy.

The Spanish tax would of course come into play here, but in return the energy is generated more or less worldwide and growth also takes place outside the EU.

There is also additional income from gas storage and corresponding management services for wind and solar parks.

$VIE

Veolia tends to operate more as a supplier and less as an independent producer.

In addition, apart from energy supply, the business is divided into waste management, recycling and wastewater management.

So there would be no dependency on one industrial sector here, but at the same time my desire for renewable energy would be implemented rather suboptimally.

Then there's the French tax, which hits me several times over.

$VER

Verbund is probably THE supplier and energy producer in Austria.

Its core business is energy generation using hydropower, geothermal energy and solar energy. Verbund is also active in grid operation as well as the development and management of the corresponding infrastructure and sales.

I am not interested in hydrogen and the corresponding companies, as I do not consider them to be suitable for renewable energies, neither in the transportation sector nor for direct supply.

Furthermore, many companies are currently so grossly overvalued in my view that there are no longer many opportunities to have a useful grip.

And no: $UKW is currently a bit too much speculation even for me and is also too specialized in one market.

Would you invest in one of the 4 companies or do you personally see greater opportunities or possibilities for a useful entry in other companies?

Nice short presentation of the companies! 👍

I don't know the individual stocks that well, but I would generally take the one that can benefit the most from economies of scale. That would probably be Encavis.

Take a look at $EKT
Wind and solar parks. Around 50% of the parks go into the company's own portfolio, the rest are sold. Performed better than the competition. Profit forecast was raised again last week. Therefore no longer quite cheap, supposedly.

I hold $IBE ✅ ( and $UKW 😜)

I actually think they are all good. In my opinion, Iberdrola and Encavis have the greatest potential.

Why not consider $ENEL. Similar to $IBE from my point of view!
