In your opinion, Bitcoin is...

...an attractive investment until when? $BTC (+3.41%)

We are increasingly reading about threats from quantum computers (from 2030?)

In my opinion, however, as is so often the case, greedy vultures are deliberately spreading negativism in order to profit.

Nevertheless, as an investor, especially if you're not a whale but just want to grab a few volatile percent, you don't want to invest in the future naively and miss the right exit point

I am therefore opening the discussion here out of interest and look forward to hearing your views 🙂

@Ash Thank you for sharing🫶
How are you doing? Have you survived Uptober and Moonvember well so far? :D

@Ash @stefan_21 Thanks for the helpful reply and thanks for the fantastic post on this. Already bookmarked and bookmarked 😎

@stefan_21 Everything is fine! I fished well in the downtrend with target orders. I made the best catch at 71,202. Since yesterday evening, however, the daily savings plan has been running again for the time being. Let's see where it goes from here... I still have a few decades until retirement. 👴🏼

How are things with you? I get the impression you're a bit more inactive here at the moment?

PS: I now own rocket shares $RKLB 🚀 If the investment goes "To the Moon" faster, I will of course take you along as a passenger. 😘

@Ash Glad to hear it😊
I've bought "the dip from the dip" twice so far - once at around 80k and once at 73k. Now I'll wait and see - if we really do play bear market again for another year, I'll just increase my savings plan for the sake of simplicity😅

I'm also really curious to see where the journey will take us now. I can't really imagine that the $126k was the top and we're now down 50, 60 or even 70% - especially without there having been a parabolic run beforehand. From that point of view, I can also imagine a bear trap OR the 4-year cycles are over.
But no matter what I think, Bitcoin always does what it wants anyway and in the long term it doesn't matter anyway :D

Yes, I'm currently a bit more inactive again. I would actually like to post more again (I will) but I can hardly find the time at the moment. I've been working through every weekend for many weeks now - it's time for Bitcoin to finally go to the moon so I can save myself the trouble😂 - maybe $RKLB can help with that😂😂
Are you in there to gamble or because you're convinced of the store? :D

Bitcoin on an annual basis Minis 19% that was almost a bear market this year

@stefan_21 @stefan_21 Dip from the dip... dippedidip! Yes, the last few days have been a wild ride down. But the nice thing is: I don't care more about any investment than bitcoin. Crazy, but true. 🤪

I've heard and read so many different opinions and assessments by now... cycle comes later (is it still a cycle at all then?), or institutional investors have destroyed the cycle, the bear market is here, or it's just a dip before it goes parabolic - or we're now seeing slow, regular growth of ~24%.
Power Law continues - it's another one of those issues... but I don't care.

Of course, working through it is one of those things. If you enjoy your job and find it fulfilling, it's perfectly okay to work longer hours - but it shouldn't become the new normal. Think about your health and your family. ❤️

In the medium to long term, I expect Rocket Lab's share price to rise significantly as soon as the Neutron rocket takes off. The start-up business is still expensive at the moment, but the potential offered by Neutron is huge. At the same time, I really like the fact that Rocket Lab not only builds rockets, but also develops satellites and space systems - this gives the company a broad base. So my thesis is not just a gambble on Neutron, but a convinced investment in several strong business areas.

@Ash the funny thing is: I now have this Blocktrainer terminal on my desk and have seen the Bitcoin price fall further and further and further like a stone - and I felt absolutely nothing... On the contrary, I had a slight hint of FOMO😂 again

Yes, that's actually the great thing about the situation: nobody knows what's going to happen next. The roadmap was always clear before - Q4 rally and then bear market. Now many forecasts are over and it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Thanks Dir❤️ Yes, I do enjoy my work, but at some point I've had enough... I currently have a big project that should be completed by the end of the year - after that it will hopefully be quieter again🫣

I actually find the Rocket Lab thing interesting - I had saved it in my head as a pure meme share :D I'll have to take a look at it when I get the chance :)

Bitcoin is purely an object of speculation. Ponzi scheme.

I think dear @stefan_21 once wrote an article about the danger of quantum technology

Why do you think that the other participants in the forum should know better than you? They mostly consume the same "contradictory" information / sources. For every opinion, there is an "article" on the internet that confirms it. It's better to rely on your own intellect and remain cautious.

You increase the encryption depth of the keys - currently 256 bits - or the Difficulty.
The end. But that will probably take a few more decades. So don't panic :)

Without value. Pure overgrowth.

@dividend_dynamo_2507 like your contributions here, without value.

in a snowball / pyramid game, those at the top of the chain win - the rest play against the bank and the bank always wins

In my view, Bitcoin is purely an object of speculation. It has no intrinsic value. But you can of course speculate on a few % gains. I certainly won't live to pay for my bread rolls at the bakery with Bitcoin, even if Bitcoin fans say that Bitcoin will be the only valuable means of payment.

@Multibagger Thank you for the answer. I see it the same way. For me, it's a small gamble in an otherwise very conservative and passive portfolio, so a 5% allocation would also be the maximum. I'm no longer expecting big gains, I was far too late for that. But it is exciting, volatile and just that certain kick - after all, my small position was up 50% before the correction. That's okay, I probably won't make any more in the medium term, even if it recovers significantly 🙂

In any case, neither the tax authorities nor the asset registers seem to be interested in the "great freedom due to decentralization". Anyone hoping for tax exemption will find themselves in a moral quandary when it comes to their tax return at the latest.
@Matzke There is no moral dilemma! If taxes are due, they have to be paid, everything else is .....
