Over the weekend, Berkshire Hathaway $BRK.B (-0.11%) had their annual shareholder meeting. Here are a few key insights from the event!

Chevron $CVX (-0.15%) has entered Berkshire Hathaway’s top 4 positions. The share price has rallied 30% this year, due to rising oil prices, but BH’s position has increased fivefold, as a result of Buffett’s buying into it.

Berkshire Hathaway has increased their stake in Activision Blizzard $ATVIas part of a merger arbitrage strategy. With a Microsoft takeover on the table, BH seeks to benefit from this, as Microsoft are offering more per share than $ATVI is currently trading, the difference being the control premium. BH now owns roughly 9.5% of $ATVI shares

Despite increasing acceptance from the traditional finance and investment world in recent years, Buffett has doubled down on his scepticism regarding the cryptocurrency Bitcoin $BTC (+0.23%) . He went as far as being quoted that he would not buy all the bitcoin in the world for $25, as he does not see Bitcoin as a ‘productive asset’.
