Quality offensive the third

As always a LITTLE text before we get started:

My last post about newstrading was chosen as post of the week in the weekly mail, too much of an honor 😊

Before I now show here a concrete way how to be faster than a pro in newstrading, it should be said: all warnings from the Last Post: https://app.getquin.com/activity/GLVmINSPDO Are serious, I personally stay out of such short speculations, I have also explained the problem in the linked post.

Also I would like to say that I show here something that I have concluded from my own experience, a factual feasibility I can not guarantee!

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗿:

𝟭. 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝗳 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵

𝟮. 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻/𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘀

𝟯. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲

𝟰. 𝗠𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲

First, a little recap:

(all of you who read the first post can skip to gaming on twitch).

To be really profitable newstrading, you should react as fast as possible to a news, but as a private investor you often have problems, because the "professionals" are now already fighting to have as short a connection as possible to the stock market to be a few milliseconds faster. While we read a message, the message has already been interpreted by kis and the big ones are invested before we even finish reading. So it is important to either get the news first (American politicians have a news lead and a super return: https://www.fuw.ch/article/big-apple-talk-us-politiker-sind-die-groessten-aktiengenies) or to know what will be published before it is published.

𝟭. 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝗳 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵

If we trade news that is not publicly available, we are committing a crime, that is called insider trading. https://magazin.comdirect.de/finanzwissen/anlegen-und-investieren/insiderhandel#ist-insiderhandel-illegal

But how do we get news legally now without doing illegal news trading? And no, this "possibility" is not only available for a very limited elite circle, I want to show a possibility for all.

But why now gaming on twitch of all things:

We need a medium that can react as quickly as possible to a release. Twitch is mostly live streaming, and games can be started directly on release, we don't have to go to a store first and then buy something, no we can watch a game directly on twitch after release, even without spending any money. But if we now think we can just watch the normal release on twitch and see how the game is received on twitch, whether it is very buggy, etc. we are again behind the news. Before a game (especially with the big titles) is published, often press versions are issued to the trade press (here as an example GameStar), these publish the news then directly to the release, rarely earlier, because there are extra embargoes for the release.

𝟮. 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻/𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘀

So we found out, if we wait for the release it will probably be nix with the faster. Now there are betas (test versions) that are released before the release to the broad fanbase (public) or a limited circle (closed). Often we can find streams for big games on twitch even for closed betas, especially for open betas streams are often available. Now we have a problem: We now have no "expert" who plays for us the game, and accordingly evaluates, we have mostly "only" normal gamers. This apparently existing disadvantage is however almost negligible, since with large Games (which also have large influence on courses) we can fall back on a very broad community, also the opinions of the Community are more important than those of a journalist, since the majority of the buyers not from journalists, but from gamern besehen becomes.

So we can look into different streams (preferably multilingual) and see how the beta is qualitatively (optics, errors, etc.) and how the game is received (how many play, how many watch, what do the viewers say).

𝟯. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲

The following problems now arise:

-we are making an estimate ourselves, we may be overlooking things or are too hyped.

-Possibly we are in a bubble representing a certain opinion

-We don't have "real" news, we create it ourselves.

- A test version may contain bugs that are not present when it is released

I will comment on the problems now:

What makes a Gamestar employee now more competent than a "normal" gamer, who may be involved in a game-specific community and accordingly better informed than the "expert". Journalists can also find themselves in a bubble and overlook certain problems. And to the last point: in the strategy presented, we try to profit in the short term from the market's reaction to a news, betas are made available well (days, weeks to months) before release to still be able to react to problems/the players before releasing the game. Our "short-termism" should already be over by the time of release, so we no longer invest

𝟰. 𝗠𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲

As I wrote in the introduction, this post is based on my own experience.

If you dig deep into my posts, you will find some posts about Battlefield 2042 (EA), at that time I myself tried to find out how well the game is received and have misjudged disastrously, but since I do not invest in the short term, this was not a problem. The gamers among us will know what the problem with Battlefield 2042 is/was:

-Many bugs (errors in the game)

-many players could not join (play along)

-Server problems

(https://www.ingame.de/news/battlefield-2042-open-beta-start-zeiten-datum-termin-preload-early-access-inhalte-ea-redwood-city-91020658.html) describes the second beta day

Personally, I had noticed the problems with the game on the evening (5.10.) of the beta release, but underestimated their consequences, and expected a much faster reaction. On the evening of the beta, the share price fell by a few percentage points, which I interpreted as a "market reaction". However, if you look historically at the price around the beta you will see that the price fell sharply (in comparison) only on 10/6/2021.

(https://www.finanzen.net/historische-kurse/electronic_arts (4.10.21 to 7.10.21))

On Twitch you could see directly in the evening already by watching bugs and server problems, but who looks at the news will find that you did not get the wes directly to the beta start that there were problems with the game. German-language news come with the Google search (Battlefield Beta Flop (search field news) ) in the time environment of the beta only on 7. 10..:

🅿🅴🆁🆂Ö🅽🅻🅸🅲🅷🅴🆂 🅵🅰🆉🅸🆃:

Even if newstrading would be interesting for me I would be very much afraid to be too hyped on games to attach adequate relevance to the problems. However, since such short investments are not interesting for me (too much effort, too high cost, too little capital, too much risk) I will continue to stay away from newstrading, but if you already trade on news I have hopefully shown you a new, interesting opportunity.

Thank you for reading

ps: yes this post I have already brought. today and deleted, but I wanted to find you an old post of mine to this out

@ccf very interesting post, thanks for that :) I've never been a beta tester and in principle I wouldn't want to dig through the bugs. I've looked in on streams during betas from time to time to at least get a feeling for the game and whether I might like it. But with something like this I turn off my investment interests, I just like to focus on the hobby itself without bringing the stock market in there ☺️ apart from the fact that I do not trade anyway 😅

It's great how you take up different possibilities of news trading and present them with practical examples. @ccf If I may give you a tip: I find the post not so easy to read, if you pay attention in the future to structure and formulate long posts a little better, you could possibly appeal to a larger audience. But that's just my opinion.
