Ladies and gentlemen, I will remain invested in my new biotech stock.
Investing.com - Mirum Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:MIRM) announced net product sales of approximately $520 million for fiscal 2025. This exceeded both the company's guidance of $500 million to $510 million and the consensus estimate of $507 million (according to TD Cowen). This strong result builds on the impressive sales growth of 53.66% over the last twelve months, with sales reaching USD 471.79 million in this period.
TD Cowen analyst Joseph Thome reiterated his Buy recommendation for Mirum with a price target of USD 95.00. He based this on management's continued optimism regarding the business customer segment, as the company forecasts sales of USD 630 million to USD 650 million for the 2026 financial year. This is in line with the positive analyst opinion on the share, which is rated "Strong Buy" (rating 1.2) according to InvestingPro data.
According to the analyst report, the biopharmaceutical company remains on track to report Phase II data for volixibat in primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) in the second quarter of 2026.
Mirum has also accelerated the timeline for the Livmarli EXPAND trial data, which is now expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, while the pivotal hepatitis delta virus (HDV) data is expected in the second half of the year.
TD Cowen reiterated its Buy recommendation based on Mirum's "underlying business and pipeline", with particular emphasis on the upcoming clinical data readouts during 2026.
In other recent news, Mirum Pharmaceuticals has initiated the BLOOM Phase 2 clinical trial for MRM-3379, a drug for the treatment of fragile X syndrome. This follows the license agreement between Mirum and Enthorin Therapeutics for the compound. In addition, Mirum has filed patent infringement lawsuits against several companies, including Sandoz, Inc. and Annora Pharma, to prevent the approval of generic versions of its drug Livmarli. The goal of these lawsuits is to delay FDA approval of the generics until Mirum's patents expire. Financially, Mirum raised $68.5 million through a private placement that will support its clinical and commercial activities, including the planned acquisition of Bluejay Therapeutics. This follows a $200 million private placement announced earlier this month. Analysts such as Citizens have raised their price target on Mirum Pharmaceuticals to $140, citing strong confidence in the company's product pipeline, particularly its Brelovitug compound. Citizens maintains its "Market Outperform" rating for Mirum.
